At first, I was satisfied with this hair dye, but after 1.5 years of using it, my hair along the length became very dry and had to be cut. Over time, it excessively dries out the hair.
Good paint, beautiful color. But not at all durable. It lasted less than a month on my hair. It doesn't contain any oils or silicones for care. The only positive thing about the paint is its healing effect. Because, of course, you won't ruin your hair with it.
I have been dyeing my hair for the second time. The interval was about six months. I added 2 teaspoons of cold-pressed olive oil to one and a half packs of hair dye. The first time I dyed my hair without adding oil, the color was more intense, but this second time my hair came out softer, and that is important to me. I bought a laboratory water bath specifically for henna dyeing to maintain the temperature regime. The color is dark blond, just like my natural light brown, without any red undertones. I leave it on my hair for one and a half hours. It is important not to wash your hair for two to three days after dyeing, so the color sets well. I am very satisfied with this dye. For those with dry hair, try adding some oil. Be careful with adding essential oils, as they can give a red tint. The list of such oils can be found online. Henna is also easier to apply with oil, as it is more "pliable" and doesn't dry out on the hair as quickly.
I am updating my review after almost a year of use. At first, there was a wow effect: a decent natural brown color, of course not as fashionable as in commercial synthetic dyes, but quite decent, good coverage of gray hair, although it was not completely dyed. I was willing to forgive all of this, and even the high price compared to the Euro price, because of the natural composition. But... after a year, my hair became dry, as if I had dyed my hair from a seven to an ultra blonde in one go. The hair is so stiff that when I lift a strand, it stays in place without hairspray. It is unpleasant to touch and does not style well. In my case, there is no possibility of hair length growth. I had to cut and get a short haircut. A year of hair growth has simply been wasted. Unfortunately. The care was professional, focused on ultra-moisturizing, the ends were trimmed with sharp hairdressing scissors, and I never use a hairdryer or hair straightener. As for the unexpected bonuses: dandruff and severe seborrhea disappeared, but this year I have improved my diet, taken vitamins, and lived a stress-free life, so I don't think it's solely due to the product, but rather a combination of factors.
I haven't colored my hair for about 4 years. Then I decided to slightly darken my hair. My natural color is dark brown. I bought 2 packs right away (ash brown, dark brown), I didn't buy them here. I checked the temperature of the mixture, followed the instructions strictly, the first coloring with ash brown went well, the color was beautiful but only until the first hair wash!!! After 3 washes, there was no trace of coloring left!!! After a month, I tried to dye it darker with dark brown, but it didn't work at all!!! There was zero result in terms of coloring, but it completely dried out my hair..... Before the first coloring, I cut my hair significantly and there were no split ends at all! But after using this dye, my hair is in terrible condition, it is splitting very badly!! Although I read the instructions on the official website 100 times and followed each step strictly! I really regret choosing this dye!
Fire dye. She dyed her hair from 2013 to 2016. Then she returned to regular dyes. Killed the hair. Remembered Khadi. ))) The hair becomes dense, nourished, shiny, even sparkling! In the photo, the color is hazelnut, my natural hair color is dark brown.
My hair is thin, curly, dark chestnut with about 60% gray. I have been coloring it with ammonia-free dye for the past 6 years. I started thinking about natural dye after noticing that my hair had become dry (despite using conditioners with silicones). I also experienced more dandruff and hair loss. Within 1.5 months, the walnut mocha dye faded to a reddish-brown shade. I used a sulfate shampoo to remove all the silicones and didn't use conditioner. The real situation was even sadder. My hair was severely dry, almost lifeless. I washed my hair with organic KHADI shampoo. Then I did a two-step coloring process. I measured the temperature with a thermometer. First, I applied HENNA, AMLA & JATROPHA dye for 1.5 hours. The color came out intense, and the gray roots had a more reddish tone. I rinsed it with running water, and the dye washed off easily. Then I dyed the roots and the entire length with GOLDEN BROWN dye, also for 1.5 hours. I mixed the formula incorrectly, and the paste was too thick, it should have been more liquid. I rinsed it with warm water, without shampoo of course. The result might have made a faint-hearted person panic and write a review like "it's all gone" and "never again in my life" ))) But that's not me. Overall, the color seemed very dark to me. But in terms of tone, it was very close to my natural color. I just used chemical dyes to achieve
The first 2 weeks - it's normal, the color is nice and bright. Then - it starts fading very quickly, you can see gray hair. I keep the dye on my hair for 2.5 hours, following all the rules.
After coloring my hair with chemical dyes, it was very damaged and started to fall out. Today I tried Khadi for the first time and I'm so happy! The color is very rich and deep and my hair is shining like never before! Thank you to everyone who left good reviews and comments- it helped me make the right choice. Here's a photo of my hair immediately after coloring. Also, thank you to Make Up for their great service and fast delivery.
I have been coloring my hair for about a year now and I really like it. But I realized that the color and shade are not for me, I want to go lighter, closer to my natural color. I couldn't find anywhere on the internet if it is possible to go several shades lighter. I have been dyeing it with light brown and dark brown. I want a cool dark ashy color.
Natural light blonde hair, started to show gray. I don't dye gray hair at all. I kept it on for an hour and a half... It's really inconvenient to apply and rinse it off from long hair. And the smell of wet ashtray will stay with you for a long time. The medium blonde turned out darker than the natural color. In other words, the hair became darker and the gray hair was not dyed.
Good, natural, but the price....
I bought the Copper color for dark brown hair. I also specifically purchased the shampoo of the same brand to help the henna adhere better. I followed all the coloring rules according to the instructions. Unfortunately, I did not achieve the desired color, my hair was slightly toned, but not everywhere. However, I liked the pleasant texture of the dye and the improvement in the condition of my hair after coloring (shine, volume, smoothness). I am thinking of trying the Red color. I like that this dye does not damage the hair, but rather strengthens it. However, there is no guarantee of achieving the desired color.
I liked the walnut color. I kept it for 40 minutes and it turned out to be neither black nor red, but as it was stated - chestnut (at a temperature of exactly 50 degrees and with a water bath for the bowl with the dye during coloring).
This paint is unforgettable! I have always dyed my hair with pure henna and decided to change the shade a bit. As a result, I got a beautiful swamp color at the roots, luckily it didn't take where the old henna was. Now I am trying to remove it with all possible and impossible methods. ?:%;№"%№%;;№*?
The paint is excellent. I use it in two stages to cover up a small gray hair. It's nice that you can touch up just the roots, not the entire length. This results in economical consumption. The delivery and packaging are superb.
The paint is simply wonderful! Hair after it is nourished, vibrant, and shiny. The smell is pleasant, herbal, I like it. Due to a large amount of gray hair, I dye it in 2 stages, and it covers the gray hair perfectly.
I liked the hair dye, I chose the shade "ash-brown" for my medium-brown hair color.
I have never dyed my hair before, except for using toners, and I have never used henna.
The smell is specific, after coloring, the hair smells like tobacco leaves, but after several hair washes, this smell disappears.
The dye applied evenly, the hair shines, and I didn't have any allergic reaction (I have sensitive scalp).
I am very satisfied, I will buy it again, maybe in a different shade...
Very beautiful and rich color. She did a great job with her hair, I have been looking for such a hue for a long time. Minus - it's expensive compared to others. The pure hue is called red.
The paint is wonderful, the shade Dark Blond is not blonde at all in our understanding, it is a cold dark brown color. It looks beautiful on both natural roots and bleached ends. It doesn't dry out at all, the hair shines. I bought it in Germany for 9.9 euros. The brand Khadi is wonderful, but the price for it in Ukraine is very high.
The paint is good, gives volume and shine, but unfortunately the color remained the same as it was before painting. I took black color and applied it on dark hair.
Light brown hair with a reddish golden shade. I use medium blonde to cover the gray hair on my temples. I only dye the temples and match the color. I have been using it for a year.
I bought the shade "Medium Blonde". My hair is medium-brown, so I chose a shade closer to my natural hair color to try and hoped that the dye would give my hair a different tint. And it worked. The shade is exactly the same as on the color chart. My hair became slightly darker and gained a beautiful shine.
Therefore, I recommend it to those who want a more drastic change in hair color to choose brighter shades.
I liked the dye itself: it didn't irritate my scalp (although my scalp is sensitive and prone to seborrheic dermatitis) and it didn't dry out my hair (which is naturally dry). The only thing is that when you wash off the dye, it feels like your hair has clumped together and become stiff. But as soon as you start drying and styling it, they become soft and manageable (even without conditioner).
Overall, I am very satisfied and will order again, but in a different shade. I think this dye will be suitable for those who don't want to dye their hair with chemical dyes or for those with sensitive scalps.
Khadi is now my favorite henna (previously used Henna color). The color is great (natural chestnut). I switched to henna almost a year ago because even though chemical dyes offer more interesting shades, I was bothered by scalp irritation (even though I had been coloring my hair with L'Oreal Professional ammonia-free for about 6 years with a master stylist). I also noticed that my hair is falling out less.
I bought a light chestnut color for myself! My hair was previously dyed with natural colors, with light chestnut roots smoothly transitioning to caramel and ending with lightened ends. In general, this is called Ombre. I decided to switch to henna to get rid of the recently started dandruff problem. My hair is shoulder-length and thick. One pack was enough for 2 coloring sessions. I did it myself both times, and the coloring process took about 10-15 minutes. I left it on for 2 hours. The first result: the hair was very shiny, the shade turned out to be more reddish than light chestnut, and the ends were light reddish. I read reviews and thought that the ends could turn greenish, but it didn't happen to me. As I washed my hair, it became lighter and redder. I repeated the coloring after two weeks. And the result pleased me even more, the hair actually became light chestnut. It covered everything perfectly, and the transitions from dark to light are hardly noticeable. My hair became even thicker! And yes, the dandruff almost disappeared. Along with the dye, I also used Khadi Neem shampoo, which may have also contributed to the "recovery".
Agreeing with Mvrina, if you want to dye your hair with regular dye, it will turn green, even after half a year of washing with henna oils, Estel washes, or powder lightening. If it wasn't for the long dyeing time and darkening of the color, I would stick with Khadi. Look at the photo, the shine and liveliness of the hair.
I bought this hair dye in the color dark brown, which is close to my natural color. I have about 30% gray hair. I diluted it with 50-degree water as instructed, added a teaspoon of salt, and left it on my head for exactly 2 hours. I have used this dye several times, once a month, and each time the color turned out bright and vibrant, and my hair was soft and not dried out. Before this, I used cheap henna, which made my hair very dry, so I stopped using it. By the way, my hair is very thin and dry at the ends, but I was more than satisfied with the results of using this dye. The only thing is that on my gray hair, the color turned out more light brown, which is not surprising. To even out the color and cover the gray hair, I decided to first use pure henna and then the dark brown dye. However, during the process, I changed my mind and decided to experiment. I mixed pure henna with coffee in equal parts and poured boiling water at around 90 degrees Celsius. I left it for 2.5 hours, and it resulted in a very beautiful chocolate shade with a reddish tint in the sunlight. It covered the gray hair perfectly, giving them a more reddish tone. I am also very happy with the result. So, in the end, I will alternate between these two colors as desired. It may not be cheap, but since my hair is shoulder-length and not thick, I have enough for 3 dyeing sessions.
I have been restoring my hair for the past 3 years after using this miracle dye... my hair is a swampy green color and no dye covers it up! Only dark shades, which do not suit me. Anything that has been colored with this dye needs to be cut off! It gives a temporary effect of quality hair, but after a couple of months, it turns into a pumpkin and the hair becomes dried out! It is very drying!! Be careful!! It contains henna and some other dyes that cannot be used with other dyes, so the only solution is to live with what you have!
The natural color of my hair is light brown. I have never dyed it before, only occasionally used a mask with colorless henna. I decided to try Light Blond. I kept it on for about 50 minutes. Overall, there wasn't a big change, my hair just gained a slightly golden shade and became pleasant to the touch. Maybe next time I'll go for something darker. I am satisfied with the quality, although it's a bit expensive, but I am aware that you have to pay for a good product. It's nice that one package is enough for two applications on my not very thick hair. I used up the entire first package because I was afraid it wouldn't be enough. Thank you, Make up, for the tissues that were included with the order. It's a small thing, but nice.
I chose Khadi because of its ingredients. The color is dark brown. I used it for thin hair, with a little bit of gray. I dyed it without any additional henna coloring beforehand. The color turned out to be a natural dark brown. It has been 3 weeks since I dyed it, and the color has not washed out, even though I wash my hair every three days. The gray hair is covered. My hair length is below my chin. There is enough dye for 2 dyeing sessions. I am satisfied with the result.
Wonderful paint! I chose the dark brown color (my dark, sunburnt, reddish hair that has been damaged by frequent straightening and curling). I mixed it with water at 50 degrees, as instructed. Prior to this, I hadn't dyed my hair for about 5 months (the last time I used an ammonia-free paint from Keranove, which washed out after 2 washes). Any paint I've used on my hair before didn't take well and washed out quickly, so, as advised in the instructions, I added a teaspoon of salt. Half a package of paint was enough for my shoulder-length hair, which is of medium thickness. The color turned out even, without any redness, although in some places it has a slight reddish tint, but overall it's hardly noticeable. The color is noble and cool. In natural daylight, it appears as a dark chestnut shade, closer to dark brown, without any redness. I rinsed it without shampoo and styled it with a blow dryer, without any additional products. My hair looked as if I had just used a luxury hair mask - voluminous, lively, non-frizzy, with no breakage, soft, and shiny, simply stunning. I can only imagine how it would look if I used other accompanying hair care products such as oils and sprays. In conclusion, I definitely recommend it. I haven't come across a better hair dye. The most important thing is to follow the instructions. Wishing everyone beautiful and healthy hair.
Very good paint. It turned out to be a very nice noble color - chestnut with a hint of red. I left it on my hair for 2 hours. I have a lot of gray hair and it covered it well.
Response for Lydia - check the official Khadi website, there you will find the correct usage instructions, painting time, color result, and color palette.
I bought a light brown shade and it turned out to be some kind of reddish color. Then I tried a dark brown shade, the color is beautiful, but after washing my hair 3 times, I turned red again. It fades very quickly(((
I bought the dark chestnut color. Before, I dyed my hair with henna-based dye, but it was only a copper color. My natural roots gradually started to grow in a chestnut color, so I wanted to even out the hair color. The dye took well, I darkened but there is still a reddish shade on the hair where it was previously dyed copper. The color evened out, and now I have a chestnut-copper shade. The color is pleasant, it took well and evenly. My hair dried out a bit after coloring, but I resolved this dryness with my favorite shampoo, Mirra. However, the price is a bit high. For my medium-length hair, I used 60-70 grams of dye, so now if I decide to dye again, I will have to buy a whole package because I won't have enough left. I followed the recommended water temperature of 50 degrees Celsius for mixing the dye.
I chose the color - natural chestnut. I previously had chemically dyed hair with about 20-30% gray hair, only at the roots. I dyed it in one step, and the gray roots turned slightly greenish, while the rest of the hair was dyed a beautiful natural chestnut color with a reddish tint, just as I wanted. The hair looks lively and shiny. The second time, I dyed the roots with regular cheap henna, and then applied Khadi henna. The roots were dyed properly. Two weeks have passed since the coloring, I wash my hair every day, and the color fades a bit, but not too much, the roots still look good. I am satisfied with Khadi henna, the only downside is the price.
Girls, please advise me. I want to cover my gray hair and achieve a beautiful, even dark brown color. It can have a chocolate undertone, but without any reddishness. Should I choose chestnut or dark brown? Chestnut tends to have a reddish tone, but I want to avoid that.
30% gray hair in the front on the temples. I do a two-stage coloring with pure henna for 2 hours, I brew it not with plain water, but with natural coffee in a Turkish pot, adding cinnamon and a teaspoon of lemon juice. I dyed the roots of my hair, but it still colored more than necessary because of the cap. The main color turned out to be amber, as the pure henna darkened it. The result is that the gray hair is fully and effectively covered, with beautiful amber color and shine. For the dry ends, I use Khadi oil and castor oil overnight. Preparing the henna with coffee gives a very beautiful shade, color, and shine. However, pure henna should be brewed at 80 degrees Celsius, while light brown henna should be brewed at no more than 50 degrees Celsius. If the liquid temperature is lower, you will get a green color. I put the clay bowl with the dye in warm water to maintain the temperature. And also, after preparing the pure henna, leave it in a warm place for half an hour to let it settle like dough. Let the light brown henna cool down to a comfortable temperature, and you can put it in warm water and start coloring. I always add a teaspoon of salt to any dye, and for pure henna, I add both salt and a teaspoon of lemon juice to help the dye develop.
Excellent natural hair dye! I have been using it for half a year. I really like it! The hair shines, the appearance is healthier. The color range is very natural.
Girls, read how to properly dilute and dye your hair with the right temperature. There is a whole website about Khadi. It's not right to make it green, you probably poured boiling water, but you need a thermometer at 50 degrees. The second dyeing will even out the color and improve the condition of damaged hair. But dye every 3-4 weeks and leave it for no more than 1 hour.
Excellent natural dye. I bought the light brown shade. Kept it under plastic wrap and a cap for 1 hour. The result is covered gray hair, beautiful shine, and reduced frizziness at the ends of the hair. The color becomes stronger in 3 days. I added 1 teaspoon of salt to the water and the water temperature was 50 degrees Celsius. Half a packet was enough for shoulder-length hair.
Whoever loves the copper-red hair color, I recommend it. I've been using this dye for the 4th time already. No one believes that I dye my hair, they think I'm a natural redhead. My hair shines with a healthy glow, and I really like it.
Regular henna, bought without color, so I can't evaluate the result of dyeing. But the effect of hair strengthening disappears after the next wash.
3 months ago I switched from ammonia-based to natural hair dye. Khadi is the best. Excellent consistency, very easy to comb through. Like a cream dye. Thanks to this, every strand of hair is colored. This is very important to me as I have long and curly hair. In general, now I only buy this one.
The quality of the paint is excellent, it gives hair a lively shine, and the color intensifies within 3 days. I only use the dark brown Hadi dye.
