This eau de toilette is a delightful "small bouquet" of flowers. It embodies femininity that cannot be expressed in words, becoming the first floral-aldehyde fragrance of elegance, modernity, and seduction, timeless in its essence.
In such a classic perfume composition, eighty different components were blended, out of which Coco Chanel decided to choose the fifth vial, hence the corresponding name. However, Mademoiselle made one addition - she requested the inclusion of a touch of tender lily of the valley, reminiscent of youth. Chanel declared that the eau de toilette should not smell like lily of the valley or rose, but should "smell like a woman".
Chanel No. 5, in its abstract blending, can be compared to the ingenious and relevant masterpieces of avant-garde artists like Malevich and Kandinsky, which, at the same time, best suit the modern era. Delicate, light, with a significant sillage, yet serious and slightly sharp, it highlights the complex character of its wearer. It plays throughout the day – appearing or disappearing, capturing attention.
