I used it until the last drop, it lasted almost 8 months, using it twice a day, and sometimes even on my back! At first, there were even dark cotton pads, but after a couple of weeks, my skin was already clear. It is a high-quality product, it dries out the skin. I used the entire Effaclar line when I had skin problems. La Roche-Posay is always a winning option, it always works.
It stings a little with alcohol, dries out the face, but evens out the tone. After a week, imperfections and greasiness disappear. The scent is barely noticeable and pleasant.
I use this line, starting with the cleansing gel, then using the lotion and finally the SPF 30 cream, and also doing a micropeeling twice a week. Everything is from the Effaclar line, prescribed by a dermatologist-cosmetologist. I don't know why I'm having this reaction, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but after using the gel and lotion, my face burns, tingles, and turns red. It lasts for about 10 minutes, but waiting for those 10 minutes is torture. The first few days everything was fine, this appeared after 4-5 days of use.
I have combination skin, it has never been sensitive, but when using this product, I understood what it feels like when your face burns.
Well, it's like this. Simply put, the alcohol solution helps reduce breakouts. Alcohol has a drying effect...
Amazing lotion!
I thought for a long time about skincare, I have combination skin with oily patches and frequent breakouts. A dermatologist recommended this line to me a while ago, and then a cosmetologist did as well. I decided to try almost the entire range. The result is very impressive, I've been using it for about 2 weeks and already see a difference. Of course, I didn't expect a miracle overnight. My skincare routine now consists of: 1- Effaclar cleansing gel, morning and evening; 2- Effaclar toner, morning and evening after cleansing; 3- The Ordinary serum (I also bought it for makeup purposes and it was also recommended by doctors), I mainly use it in the evening after toning; 4- The final step is Effaclar duo+ cream, morning and evening after toning or after serum; 5- I use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar mask twice a week. I am very satisfied with the results! Thank you so much to Makeup and La Roche-Posay. I will definitely be ordering their sunscreen for spring. The toner doesn't dry out my skin and effectively reduces oiliness.
Very satisfied with the purchase, if you have oily or combination skin - give it a try. Worthwhile product.
One love. If you use it daily for at least a week, it removes all pimples and blackheads like magic. This is my emergency help, a very effective remedy.
Honestly, my hand doesn't reach for it among my other jars, I don't know why, maybe because it dries out and I don't notice any visible effect, but I love many other products from this brand, overall I praise the brand, but this product is not for me.
It doesn't seem so bad, but it smells strongly of alcohol and dries out the skin a lot.
Everyone says that the smell is terrible, but it's not really like that for me, it's quite normal. This lotion is so amazing that you can forgive the smell! It moisturizes and softens the skin.
I debated for a long time whether to buy it, after reading mixed reviews. The smell of alcohol is obvious and distinct, not very pleasant, but I was more interested in the result, and I have already gotten used to it. Within a week of using the toner, it cleared up breakouts on my chin, which was the main reason I bought it. Oh, thank you, La Roche. Now I only use it in the evening with the gel from the same series for better cleansing after makeup. My skin is not dried out.
I have sensitive problematic skin, and I'm very happy that I found out about the existence of this line. I use the lotion at night, it cleanses well and slightly dries out inflammations without causing any unpleasant sensations. Everything suits me, and in the morning I use a Korean toner, which has significantly reduced my facial problems.
Strong smell of alcohol. Slightly narrowed pores, but it dries out the skin significantly and new inflammations appeared.
Excellent facial tonic, it suited me 100%. As mentioned above, it has a strong smell of alcohol, but this tonic does not dry out the skin at all. The skin feels very pleasant, and in combination with the facial cleanser and cream from this line, everything is great. Inflammation on the skin has become less noticeable, and there are no new ones. I haven't tried any other products from this company, but I am not disappointed.
Very strong smell of alcohol.
I bought the tonic not here, but at the pharmacy. Overall, I didn't like it. I have combination skin type. It dries out the skin, tightens it, and makes it look dull and neglected. The only plus is that it dries out small breakouts. It doesn't have any effect on larger breakouts or blackheads. For this price, you can get a much better tonic that will actually do its job. I do not recommend it.
I wipe my face with this lotion in the morning and evening, and my pores have become noticeably smaller. I am satisfied with the result. Despite having normal skin, the lotion works great for me. It does not dry out or tighten my skin.
It worked well for my dry and sensitive skin.
The lotion does not leave stickiness on the skin and yellowing. I like it more than Vichy (for pore reduction). It is suitable for daily use as simple care. There were no skin problems during use. However, it does not shrink old pores.
Everything is great, the lotion is excellent, no complaints about the quality of the product!
But the cap on the bottle itself is terribly inconvenient and very difficult to open (this is the only downside).
I bought the whole series (gel, tonic and cream) and my results after 2 months were very good. I'm very pleased and will continue to use them. The smells are pleasant and not overwhelming; the consumption is economical (in this time I used about half of the products with daily twice usage).
I've read many reviews saying that it dries out the skin and smells like alcohol.. I don't know, the lotion worked for me. Yes, there is a slight fragrance and you can feel the alcohol, but it's not critical. This line may not be suitable for everyone, my cosmetologist says it's very aggressive for the skin. But for my skin, it's simply a lifesaver. It really reduces breakouts and inflammations quickly. I use the entire Effaclar range, the blue cleanser, lotion, K+ cream, and the green micro peeling gel a couple of times a week. I also bought the Mega expensive serum, I will try it out.
The toner suited me well, I have been buying it not for the first time. I also use it after La Roche-Posay face cleanser.
I use it in combination with a La Roche mask and gel. My skin remains oily in the mornings, just as it was before. The only improvement is that small inflammations and such have disappeared. However, the oiliness of my skin has not decreased even slightly.
I bought this tonic based on reviews for pore tightening. I have been using it daily for almost a month, but unfortunately, I have not noticed any positive effect. It doesn't dry out my skin and doesn't cause new breakouts, but my pores haven't become smaller either.
The tonic itself may be good, but after 2-3 uses, I started experiencing a burning sensation on my face after applying it... (very unfortunate)
Unfortunately, I bought it after consulting with a dermatologist. My skin tends to have rosacea and alcohol is strictly prohibited. And you can smell alcohol from this tonic from three kilometers away.
Thank you to La Roche experts for the great products. My skin looks significantly better and more well-groomed. I have completely switched to La Roche without even noticing it and I don't regret it! The lotion is good, I use it at night, and the toner in the morning!
It helped greatly with breakouts around the chin area, as well as clearing a stubborn under-the-skin pimple that wouldn't go away for a long time. The skin became cleaner and brighter. Pores are hardly visible. Despite being 35 years old, my skin looks better. I paired it with a facial cleanser.
My favorite lotion is 100% in line with everything the manufacturer claims.
In my case, my pores have tightened and noticeably lightened on the 5th day of daily use (morning and evening).
The only thing I recommend is to definitely use SPF to prevent pigmentation, as the lotion contains acids.
I use all La Roche cosmetics. My skin is oily and prone to breakouts. After using this toner, my skin becomes very dry and tight. Subcutaneous breakouts have increased significantly (cheeks, inner areas, they don't go away). Very dissatisfied.
I use the La Roche series.
My skin is very oily (in the T-zone), prone to breakouts, and has large pores.
After using this toner, I feel tightness in my skin, dryness, and I have developed many under the skin breakouts. Very dissatisfied.
This product is very good, it does not dry out the skin and effectively tightens pores. La Roche-Posay products suit me very well. I always order from makeup.com, but this time I wasn't completely satisfied with the service of my favorite website. I ordered two items from the La Roche-Posay series, and when I placed an order for over 700 UAH, a message appeared saying that I would receive miniatures as a gift because I reached the required amount. However, after my order was confirmed, I received an email stating that my order would be split into two and one item had to be shipped from the EU. As a result, the miniatures did not arrive since the products came separately. I was really looking forward to trying one of the miniatures. It's disappointing that they didn't inform me in advance, as I would have chosen the toner to be delivered from the EU as well.
"I regret not checking the ingredients before ordering, I trusted the good reviews. It has a strong alcohol smell, very unpleasant. After using it, it dries out and tightens the skin horribly, obviously due to the alcohol in the formula. The worst thing for facial skin is alcohol. Of course, it dries out inflammation, but the negatives outweigh the positives. I wiped my face a couple of times and I don't want to experiment like this anymore."
The pores visually narrowed, there is less oily shine, the skin has become smoother. I recommend it.
I'm already on my 3rd bottle! Excellent lotion, even though I have combination skin, the Effaclar series is a perfect fit.
I really liked the lotion, I have been using it for several months. Although this is not the only lotion I use, and I can't say for sure that the effect of such pleasant skin is due to it, there is a high probability that it is because I use it most often.
By the way, the scent is very pleasant.
I bought the entire Effaclar line (lotion, moisturizing cream, sunscreen, and face wash H). My skin has improved, but at the same time, I'm undergoing treatment with a gastroenterologist and dermatologist (using retinoids). I liked the lotion, despite not liking alcohol-based lotions (I didn't finish reading the ingredients). It can cause a strong burning sensation in areas of redness and peeling, although it's strange because it's supposed to be designed for problematic skin. But it definitely didn't make it worse (I've been using it for a month).
I like this lotion. I use it regularly. It suits my oily skin.
I ordered for the first time. I have oily and problematic skin. The product has antibacterial properties (if there are inflammations, it stings the skin). Additionally, I also bought a gel mousse for washing for oily and problematic skin from the same series, a moisturizing sebum-regulating emulsion, and Effaclar serum. In combination, I achieved matte skin throughout the day and regeneration of post-acne marks, and the appearance of subcutaneous pimples stopped.
Good product. Removes oily shine and helps with acne and post-acne issues. Skin feels luxurious after using it.
I am already taking it for the 5th time and I am very satisfied with it. I use it twice a day or sometimes once a day! The product suits me, I don't know about pore tightening, but it cleanses my face great. I haven't tried other brands, but I'm happy with everything).
I ordered the entire range to solve a problem that has reached unimaginable levels for me. Two cleansers, this lotion, and cream. I have been using them for less than a week. The results are clearly visible: inflammations are quickly subsiding. There are no additional ones. Some minor ones have been noticed, but it's hard to tell if they are new. Now I am waiting for the results regarding evening out my skin tone. Acne scars are visible. I hope these products will help get rid of them. The lotion itself is "nuclear," my skin burns for several hours after using it. I am willing to endure this for good results. There is noticeably less shine on my face throughout the day! These are my initial reactions and observations, we will see further. I recommend it!
For my skin, it's too alcoholic and tightens. I have combination skin. I tried applying it only to areas with inflammation, but it doesn't work.
If you have problem skin and want to treat breakouts, think three times before buying this lotion. I broke out like a teenager, my whole face was covered in red pimples, something that hasn't happened to me since I was 15 (I'm now 27). Brand experts may not even respond to me about individual reactions because I have tried everything over the years, but this has never happened before. And the standard comment like "try the product..." I will perceive as mockery. No one will refund me for a product that ruined my skin, so it's logical that I won't buy your new product after this. And yes, two dermatologists and three cosmetologists diagnosed me with "oily problem skin." Isn't this series specifically for that type of skin? Accordingly, I chose everything correctly. I used it in combination with the cleanser and the duo+ cream from the same series. The cream, by the way, slightly improved the condition, but only after I stopped using this lotion.
Amazing lotion, the results are noticeable after using a whole bottle (I applied it to my T-zone in the morning and evening). The pores have really shrunk, I have combination skin. I recommend applying it only to the T-zone, as it can dry out the cheeks. I have already bought a second bottle, I like it.
I used the lotion, it suited me very well, it dries out all the pimples and the results are noticeable. I used it every day and came across information that it should be used 1-2 times a week. I would like a comment from the brand regarding how to use it correctly.
I really like this line, but the toner is very alcoholic.
Maybe it's not bad, it just didn't work for me. After applying it, my whole face was covered in red spots and it burned a lot. Although I consulted with a dermatologist before buying, in my case it was just a waste of money, which is a shame because I have been using La Roche cosmetics for a long time.
Very cool.
Great tonic, I'm buying it for the second time. It dries out pimples on my teenage skin and reduces blackheads. Not all spots, of course, but it lightened post-acne marks. My skin looks healthier. However, the effaclar duo + cream was very disappointing. Even when used together with the tonic, it caused painful, large under-the-skin pimples every time.
Excellent product for oily and problematic skin! I have many La Roche products for face and body. I alternate this toner with the soothing one from the same brand. Both are my must-haves!
Oily skin will always have shine, no matter what you apply!! It's its nature!
La Roche's comprehensive skincare routine has restored my skin after using mass-market products.
Choose your skincare correctly and don't expect a cosmetic product to do something it's not intended for.
There was no effect, money wasted.
I didn't understand this tonic at all. It smells awful like alcohol, tightens the skin, and even cream doesn't help. It's stated that it's suitable for oily skin, but after using it, my face becomes even oilier and shiny like a pancake. It doesn't fulfill any of the claimed tasks. It doesn't minimize pores, clean blackheads, or exfoliate anything. I used almost the entire bottle in combination with the gel mousse from the same series. I won't buy it again.
It effectively removes traces of acne, dries them out, and after 2 weeks of use, there is no trace left on the cheeks (I struggled with acne scars and redness for months, but they didn't go away). There are almost no new breakouts. However, it does sting a bit in some places. In the evening, I apply a moisturizing cream, Effaclar H, after using it, and in the morning, a light fluid. My skin has significantly improved! I am definitely satisfied and will buy it again.
Pores have become less noticeable, I have been using the cleansing gel and DUO+ cream for about three weeks. The skin becomes cleaner and softer, blackheads on the chin and cheeks are gradually disappearing.
This tonic stings quite a bit if it gets on breakouts, smells nice, possibly slightly drying, and that's it. My skin becomes very oily by noon, it's unreal how shiny and uncomfortable it feels. It's quite expensive, won't buy it again. I'll go back to Biotrade.
It burns quite nicely in inflamed areas and problem areas, but for those who have skin problems, there is nothing to fear. It dries out breakouts well and really tightens pores, of course, in combination with effaclar face wash and clay mask, the result for me is 90% positive, the rest is a question for the body, there is no such thing as just skin problems, it relates to diet, hormones, intestines, etc. in my opinion, it's a comprehensive system.
