I tried this series and the reconstruction series, but these masks dry out my hair... it's a shame. I had hopes for this brand. The shampoos are good, but the care line is just a waste of money...
Illuminating Mask, Alfaparf Milano
Right now, I am growing out my hair, not dyeing it, and taking care of it. But there was a time when I excessively bleached it, and now I am desperately trying to fix it!
My main problem is dryness and lack of shine in my hair. My hairstylist recommended the ILLUMINATING MASK!
The mask is packaged in a white jar with a silver lid. There is also a membrane, which I haven't thrown away and continue to use to cover the jar.
In terms of consistency, the mask is quite thick, white in color, and has an oily texture. I really like the scent, it leaves a pleasant trail.
I use it according to the instructions:
1. After washing my hair, I apply it to damp hair. The mask is easy to apply and distribute through my hair. For my length and thickness, half a teaspoon is enough to cover all my hair, avoiding the roots by 5 cm. Even during application, I can feel my hair detangling and becoming denser to the touch. It seems like they have become thicker and fuller. Those with thin hair will understand what I mean.
2. I leave the mask on for about 5 minutes.
3. Then I rinse it out.
After using the mask, my hair feels dense and smooth. I can easily comb through it, even without applying any oil, and run my fingers through the strands effortlessly! Until the next hair wash, my hair remains just as great, soft, and shiny, and the ends don't look damaged.
I really like the products of this brand, but this particular series, together with the liquid crystals, really has a strong scent of men's cologne (which is subjective). I bought the whole series and gave the shampoo to my husband, managed to convince him, but the smell of this mask still lingers even if I use another product afterwards. I'm disappointed because of this. Overall, the quality is great and if you're not bothered by unisex scents, go ahead and buy it confidently. But if you don't like them, it's better to find a tester somewhere else.
The mask is so-so, it only gives hair a little shine. At least it doesn't make hair greasy.
I like all the hair products from this brand... but the mask, of course, didn't impress me. It didn't suit my dry hair, it doesn't moisturize or restore, it only gives a slight shine. It is only suitable for healthy, undamaged hair.
