I didn't buy it for makeup, just wanted to give my review of the product! I have fine and dry hair, yes, after using silk, my hair becomes softer and less tangled, BUT the huge downside for me is that my hair started to get horribly staticky almost after the first use! I would just apply this silk to the ends and that's it, it's impossible, my hair sticks to everything, everything sticks to my hair. Money wasted, it's almost full price.

Great product as an leave-in treatment for the ends of the hair. I bought all the Chi oils in miniatures and out of them, I liked this one and the black cumin oil the most. Don't write nonsense that they are the same or that they don't work. The oils are different. Some are not even oils, while others contain much more oil. I don't like coconut oil, 100% argan oil, or bay oil on my hair... But these silicone-based ones are really good. Take samples and find what suits you.

And I, girls, have been using this silk for half a year. At first, I liked it. It was summer, so I ordered a big bottle without thinking. But in winter, this thing doesn't help anymore... Moisturizing effect lasts only for a short time. I definitely won't buy it again. But their volume spray and volume powder are definitely the best! I received it as a gift as part of a promotion when purchasing Chi products. I have already used it about four times. If I draw conclusions based on my dark medium density hair, here they are:

1. The smell is not very pleasant at first, but then it dissipates on the hair and leaves a light pleasant scent.
2. The hair is soft and doesn't tangle. It hasn't turned into straw, as previous buyers have mentioned.
3. It didn't straighten my hair, but it reduced frizz and added shine, although not a "wow" effect.
4. The hair looks well-groomed right away.
5. As for whether it makes the hair oily or not, it's unlikely, at least not for me. Also, it's not recommended to apply oils or serums to the roots! It rather depends on the hair type and the main hair care products. My hair starts getting greasy on the second day, no matter what I use.
