Made in: Morocco For centuries, Moroccan women have used beldi for thorough yet gentle skin cleansing. It is crucial to regularly remove the skin's dead layer without damaging its natural barrier and structure. This product by Nectarome is designed for use during a bath or in a hammam.
The principle behind beldi is that it causes the dead skin layer to swell, and with the help of a special glove called a kessa, it easily peels away. Cleansing the skin with beldi positively impacts microcirculation of blood and lymph, aids in toxin removal, and promotes skin cell regeneration. After using this product, the skin becomes more hydrated, soft, smooth, and firm, with a noticeably improved tone.
Use in a steam bath (hammam) or in the bathroom on warmed skin. Take a small ball of the beldi, about 1-3 cm in diameter, and slowly roll it over your body, avoiding the eyes. Leave it on your skin for approximately 5-10 minutes (3-5 minutes on the face), then rinse off with warm water. After rinsing, thoroughly dry your body using a rough mitt or brush. This exfoliation removes layers of dead skin cells, helping to free the skin from toxins and dirt, and improves cellular respiration of the skin.

The best of all the bath brooms. After using it, you won't want to use any other treasures in the sauna.

I ordered it 9 months ago. The photo shows more of the texture. In practice, the soap came in its original plastic bucket with the Nectarome label.
I specifically "hunted" for beldi after testing its use in a hammam. Ideally, I wanted eucalyptus, but it was not available at the time of ordering.
Am I satisfied? Yes. The soap cleanses the skin excellently. I use it to prepare the skin before a massage with a kessa glove.
It exfoliates dead skin cells excellently. The skin needs to be steamed before use (in a sauna or bath). After use, it is important to rinse the body well with running water and use a moisturizing lotion or body cream (according to your preference and tradition).
An important note: beldi does not have a pleasant scent. Its smell is rather technical, similar to potassium soap (somewhat resembling Aleppo or Castile soap). Therefore, there will be no Eastern aromas during use. But I am fine with that because the results of its use outweigh this slight inconvenience. Moreover, after rinsing off and using a body lotion, the soap smell disappears.
If you have doubts about whether it will suit you, find a smaller package. The website offers options of 200g packaging.replyDid this review help you?
