In 1950, the Guerlain family decided to create a fragrance based on the amazing roots of vetiver (a plant from India). After several trials, the perfumer managed to make a subtle dosage that reminds one of the earth's exhalations in the pale light of dawn. It is in the ensemble of woody notes, exquisite elegance of spices and tobacco, which create a rare and refined aroma.
Thanks to modern geometry and strict forms, the Vetiver bottle embodies the fashionable figure of authentic French elegance.

I really liked the perfume. The Guerlain DNA is quite noticeable: a powdery-sandalwood base with a bright citrusy opening. The longevity and sillage are very respectable. Surprisingly, there is not much vetiver in the fragrance with such a name, but rather a lot of black pepper with sharp, non-sweet tobacco. Overall, it is magnificent with a claim to universality.
fresh summer. super.
I'm going crazy for this fragrance. It has a vintage, rich sound. Old school. Strong herbaceousness at the beginning, then a rich carnation transitioning into tobacco leaves. Leather-suede accord before the base. Independent and intolerant, a beauty! Era!
This is a classic. And anyone who says it reminds them of cheap cologne simply doesn't understand elite perfumery (by the way, it used to be niche). The scent of Guerlain's vetiver is one of the pillars of high perfumery.
The aroma is serious, compelling, not for noses accustomed to popular "fresh" scents. It is more suitable for hot summer.
