Gorgeous, expensive, and very long-lasting fragrance. I had been wanting to buy a full bottle for a long time. It is essential to test and wear it before purchasing. (There are websites where you can buy samples, from 1 ml to a full bottle of original perfume).
If you try it once, you will want to inhale this scent again the next day. And every time after that. It is irresistibly captivating. It gives me a high.

The fragrance is a bomb!
Gorgeous scent, complex and not for everyone. If you are a fan of heavy, more unisex fragrances, you will like it. However, if you prefer light, citrusy, fresh scents, this fragrance will smell bad to you and give you a headache. The extract is sweeter, with more noticeable saffron and burnt sugar notes, and you can't really smell bandages like in the classic Baccarat 540. It is more suitable for colder weather - then it will open up beautifully and won't suffocate you or those around you. After purchasing, make sure to let the fragrance sit in a dark place without access to sunlight and humidity for a couple of days before applying it on yourself. After application, the fragrance will evolve with a new scent every hour. Some people like it, while others don't. You can try it out on perfume retailer's Instagram pages, get familiar with it, try it on yourself, and then decide if you are ready to buy the full-size bottle or if it's just not your scent.
I read an article somewhere that different people perceive this fragrance differently. It all depends on some substance in the body through which saffron is perceived. Some people smell a hospital scent while others smell sweet caramel cotton candy.

It's annoying that it's hard to imagine half of the city wearing the more popular "baccarat" fragrance. Maybe that's why I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'll wait until the hype dies down.

It doesn't smell flat, it constantly fluctuates between a bandage-like scent and sweet cotton candy or strawberry jam. It's an interesting scent, but I can't imagine wearing it every day. For me, it's more of a mood fragrance.

I have a comparison with Sramonio - it used to be my favorite fragrance, but now, since I tried Bakara Extract, it is love.
