The latest creation by perfumer Serge Lutens is named as a participle of the past tense. Le Participe Passe is, in essence, the past itself. Departed events, people, and things always leave behind a trail of various scents. And this perfume has gathered all the memories that might catch up with you in the present and future.
Le Participe Passe is designed for luxurious, charismatic women and men who invariably deserve looks of admiration. The composition opens with the floral fragrance of wormwood and bergamot. The heart of the triangle is accentuated by black pepper and fruity notes. And a lingering aftertaste of the perfume is left by burnt caramel, Egyptian resins, and exotic caraway. Allow your past to say "Hello" without a shadow of sadness!
Each person hears something different in it. Whether it's wormwood or burnt sugar. One of those fragrances that leaves a luxurious trail and if you're in a room, only it can be heard. It's a matter of personal preference, but that's what niche fragrances are all about.
Very interesting scent - just like all of Lutens's. I can clearly sense resins, the smell of camphor. At the beginning, there's a metallic note. Somewhere in the background, I can feel dried fruits. Wearing it on oneself - unlikely, appreciating it as a work of perfumery art - gladly. Lutens is a kind of avant-garde artist in the perfume world.
My love is Shergi. I have tried many fragrances by Lutens - full-sized bottles, minis, and samples. All of them have their own unique twist, which may or may not appeal to everyone. But this one! It's like a sour, sharp, burnt caramel. I apologize to the fans of this fragrance for the harshness of my statement. This is just my personal opinion. I do not recommend it without trying it first. It even gives me a headache, even when applied sparingly.
