I used this balm when I had lower back pain. Actually, it doesn't relieve the pain. It's just a pleasant cooling gel with menthol. It can be applied when muscles are tense, after a workout, or when tendons are painful - it provides a pleasant coolness and skin redness. It's not bad, but it didn't show any healing properties for me.
