To properly floss your teeth, tear off a piece of floss (approximately 45 cm in length) and wrap most of it around your middle fingers, holding the floss between your thumbs and index fingers. Gently slide a clean section of the floss up and down between your teeth. Then, adjust the angle to make the floss curve around each tooth it passes between, cleaning all sides. Finally, run the floss up to the point where the tooth meets the gum to clean the area between the tooth and the gum.
