The spongy is very small. In the photo it is wet. If it were a bit smaller, it would be impossible to paint the face with it. It is difficult to spread the tonal on the face. The sponge itself is very soft, more porous than I am used to. It absorbs tonal, but not critically. After the first wash it did not fall apart (I washed it with piece soap). I will report how long it will last. If it were a bit bigger, it would be great. This is the size medium, maybe there is a large somewhere.
There is nothing to compare it to as it's my first beauty blender. But I am very satisfied with it! It is soft, elastic, doubles in size, applies foundation and concealer seamlessly, and my skin looks very natural.
