The balm is pleasant in texture, not sticky, and does not cause allergies, but the negatives still outweigh the positives:
1) Insufficient moisturization - if the eyelid skin is dry, then using this product overnight can result in waking up in the morning with a grid of wrinkles, a feeling of dehydration in the eyelid skin, and even more pronounced dark circles under the eyes.
2) Eye concealers do not blend well with this product - they tend to roll off and create patchy coverage (referring to YSL Touche Eclat, Atelier Paris, Erborian).
3) The price, in my opinion, is significantly inflated by the manufacturer - there are much cheaper and more effective products available. It does not justify its cost.
I gave it 2 stars for the pleasant texture and for not causing allergic reactions.
