I have long hair that easily gets tangled. I have tried what seems like all types of combs until I was gifted my first Tangle Teezer. But it was the compact version, and now I have the big comb.
It detangles just as well, but it's even more convenient to hold onto with the handle.
This will be a great gift for a girl or even for myself. Don't hesitate to spend money on a product that will last for years and truly help with easy and painless hair combing. And it won't pull out the hair.
I bought it for my daughter after her annoying tantrums, because regular massages and combs are painful, I don't want to, I won't... Tangle teezer is love! I already have my second one (bought my first compact one 3 years ago), and since then I can't use anything else to comb my hair. My hair is weak, dry, and wavy. If comparing it to the Tangle teezer without a handle (I have the burgundy one), this one is more convenient, but the Thick/curly one has longer bristles. When I forget it at home, a panic begins because everything else pulls and breaks my hair.
Unlike regular combs, these ones electrify the hair. Even though they have the original barcode. And these are slightly stiffer than the usual Tangle.
An undeniable plus is the handle.
