Wrinkles and fine lines, a dull complexion, and enlarged pores are not part of the modern woman's agenda. She always looks youthful, with her beauty radiating flawlessly regardless of age. Such an amazing result is ensured by using the cosmetic products of the Canadian brand The Ordinary.
For those looking to eliminate pigmentation and age spots, smooth out wrinkles, restore a healthy complexion, and even out skin tone, incorporating The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane serum into your daily skincare routine is advisable. This is an anhydrous solution that contains 0.2% pure retinol. The product effectively improves skin tone, enhances its firmness and elasticity, stimulates regeneration processes, lightens pigmentation regardless of its cause, and minimizes pores. However, before starting to use the product at home, it is necessary to perform a sensitivity test to retinol, as it may cause irritation and redness. In such cases, it's better to use a product with a lower concentration of this substance.

The serum is amazing. I didn't buy it here. Those who say it causes breakouts simply don't know what retinoid dermatitis is. It will extract all the underlying skin issues.
On insensitive skin, there is no effect, a higher percentage of retinol is needed. The oil itself did not initially absorb into the skin, but later started to. I did not notice any changes on my facial skin.
I didn't buy it here. I have been using it for 2 weeks and it causes terrible breakouts. Painful pimples.
Very satisfied. It really has an effect in fighting breakouts. It doesn't dry out the skin if used with moisturizing products. For example, retinol in the evening, moisturizing cream or serum in the morning. Yes, after starting to use it, breakouts do appear, but it's normal. After applying retinol to problem skin, it becomes slightly red and all the pimples come to the surface. Then the condition of the skin noticeably improves.
If you only have a cleanser, moisturizing cream, and this retinol, you will see results. Personally, I saw improvement in my skin when I used only this, but nothing changed after adding other products. So, a downside.
I didn't buy it here. Well, what can I say, the oily base is terrible. Very inconvenient to use, takes a long time to absorb, and if you don't apply cream on top, it doesn't absorb at all. At first, as promised, it dried out my cheeks and around my mouth. Then my skin got used to it. I should note that this is not my first retinol product, so I don't see any results, it irritates more than it provides positive effects. I won't be repurchasing. It's worth adding that the product has a small consumption rate and a short shelf life after opening. So, in 3 months of non-daily use, you won't even use half of it, probably. Well, it's a matter of personal preference, in a word.
The product, in my opinion, is absolutely useless. After applying it, I always have breakouts, and they last for about two weeks.
Very economical consumption and that's about it. I understood that it should have had an oily consistency because of the retinol, but when applied, it doesn't get absorbed by the skin at all, even after waiting for a certain amount of time... no moisturization or anything, and it's impossible to apply any cream on top of it! It just makes me want to wash my face immediately after applying... that's why I use it on my body, so it's not as disappointing. Maybe it's just not the right "form" of the product for me, because I've used retinol in a cream before and everything was great.
Honestly, I didn't understand the point of this product. It just made my face oily without moisturizing it. After a month of use, nothing changed, neither for the better nor for the worse.
Dry, pigmented skin. 35+ This product worked very well. No irritations or breakouts. My face looks fresh and fresh, I apply it at night, wash it off in the morning + toner + SPF and moisturizer.
This serum has strongly clogged my pores, it's just terrible((((
This is the best product for problem skin! The result is visible immediately, the skin looks clean and rested. I apply the serum overnight, but alternate it with others. With retinol, you have to be careful, you can't sunbathe and use strong sun protection, otherwise pigmentation is guaranteed, there is also a factor of getting used to retinoids. But if you know how to use it, perfect porcelain skin is guaranteed.
I will be trying this product for the first time. I once stumbled upon an article that there are many counterfeits of this company, I found a post that describes how the original looks like. So today the package arrived, and I started to study it to see if it matches the original. According to all external parameters and description, the package matches the original. I will be trying it out in the evening. After finishing the bottle, I will write about the result. Big thank you to MAKEUP for the impeccable service!
I bought it here. I am 42 years old, have combination skin prone to breakouts and enlarged pores. I have been using it almost every other day (at night) for about a month, after washing my face and before applying night cream. It absorbs in 10 minutes. My skin looks fresh and feels velvety, my pores have tightened, and my expression lines are less noticeable. The breakouts have disappeared. I am very satisfied. I haven't had such delicate and clear skin since childhood :)
I didn't buy it here, but I will still leave a review.
I have combination skin, my T-zone gets very oily, I sometimes have breakouts, small acne scars, and enlarged pores. It is NOT sensitive.
I started using it every other day because I wasn't sure how my skin would react, but I realized that it responded well (without irritation or flakiness), so I decided to switch to daily use. I apply it in the evening after cleansing my face and using toner.
At first, it took a long time to absorb, but as I continued to use it, my skin became less and less oily, and it started absorbing faster.
I am very satisfied with the results. My skin no longer gets oily, small breakouts disappear by morning, and larger ones heal much faster. There are almost no traces left, my pores have slightly reduced in size, and my skin feels moisturized.
Not bad. The percentage of retinol is minimal, so my oily skin did not suffer. I use it several times a week together with vitamin C (at different times of the day), and my skin looks soft and nourished. There are no flakes.
The serum is excellent. It should never be used by those planning pregnancy, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women under any circumstances.
Very good thing, like all products of this brand, a small amount of components, but all working. In all descriptions of products with retinol, it is said that it can intensify breakouts, peeling, as skin renewal is enhanced. I have mature sensitive skin with post-acne and enlarged pores. No breakouts or peeling occurred, the skin became more well-groomed, the complexion improved, the pores narrowed slightly. I have been using it since April, bought a second jar. But I use it comprehensively, in the morning after toner, hyaluronic acid with vitamin B5, daytime Japanese cream with UV filter, in the evening thorough cleansing, serum with retinol. It really works, I recommend it. But a comprehensive approach is needed, all products of this brand are effective, so consult with a cosmetologist and go for it!
