The Ordinary Resveratrol Serum 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is an effective remedy formulated specifically for ageing skin. It is aimed at reducing the visible signs of premature ageing such as dullness, dryness, and loss of firmness. The serum is protecting your skin from damaging external impact as well, preventing fine lines, age spots, and redness.
The powerful antioxidant Resveratrol protects the skin from UV photodamage. And another key ingredient is Ferulic acid, a phytochemical compound found in plant cells, that stimulates natural Collagen synthesis, making the skin look supple and rejuvenated. Its anti-inflammatory effect copes with acne and other blemishes such as rosacea or eczema. The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is a powerful soothing serum that improves skin firmness.

This serum is quite aggressive. It has an oily base. When applied, it raises the temperature of the skin, causing little droplets of sweat and a flushed appearance. It did not dry out my combination skin. I apply it in a small amount once or twice a week in the evening, as a sort of shock therapy to stimulate blood circulation in the facial skin.
I also added vitamin C in powder form. I tried it during the cold season, and it leaves greasy droplets on my face. I stopped using it. Then, in the summer, I decided to try it again, but I got the same result. I had to remove it with a tissue.
I have been using a serum with resveratrol and ferulic acid, and I add vitamin C powder to it. I can't say if this product fulfills all its promises. I use it before bed and seal it with a regular moisturizer from The Ordinary (in the morning, I use niacinamide and seal it with an SPF cream, also from The Ordinary). The consistency of the serum is oily, and the vitamin C dissolves quickly with it. Personally, I have no problems or inconveniences when mixing it on a clean palm. It absorbs quickly into the skin. It seems like my skin should be oily in the morning, but it becomes matte, radiant, and even-toned. I have been testing it for more than three months.
I also noticed a great benefit for those who occasionally have breakouts or before their menstrual cycle. With the serum and vitamin C, they disappear without having time to mature and without leaving red marks, unlike salicylic acid.
The need for foundation or powder has disappeared, and regular sunscreen is enough after basic skincare.
I will definitely continue using it.
It didn't work for me. I gave it many chances.
During the first month of use, it was fine. It was oily, with a slightly specific smell, and a bit tingly at first, but then SPF and makeup applied beautifully on it. The skin was moisturized and seemed to glow. However, starting from the second month, red patches started appearing on my cheeks, not immediately, but after about an hour of application. I have mature combination skin (43 years old). I took antihistamines, tried different toners (both with actives and neutral), but no, this product is not for me. I don't really feel like going to work with a red face.
I read on the internet that ferulic acid may cause a similar reaction, but I couldn't find any information on whether this is normal or not.
The serum is quite aggressive, and it doesn't react well to rosacea, so I use it on my forehead, under my eyes, neck, and décolleté. It is quite economical to use, has an oily texture, sometimes absorbs quickly, but other times leaves a greasy shine. I haven't noticed any positive results from using it, but I hope it has an antioxidant effect.
I have been buying this product for the third time now. The effect is amazing: my skin looks radiant, illuminated, and delicate in the morning, and any breakouts disappear faster. It also works well under makeup.
This is my first time ordering a face serum, and I didn't like it at all. I don't see any benefits for myself, and half of the jar just sits there.
I think this is probably the first time my skin has ever felt so dry... I am very disappointed and upset.
After testing it for 2.5 months, it's about time to leave a review, although I could have done it earlier! My face has never suffered so harshly. The formula clearly doesn't suit me, it feels like acids are burning my face. I'm 30 years old with combination skin, and I became sensitive to new products a year ago. I usually get pimples and redness, but they quickly go away and I continue using the products without any issues. But not this time! I wanted to try a professional product with a more serious composition for my age. I applied the serum at night and sealed it with a little cream, and in the morning, I was shocked! My skin was dry and flaky everywhere. For three weeks, I moisturized it with cream three times a day, but it didn't help. In short, I tried different ways with this serum - sometimes it was okay and my complexion looked better, my pimples dried out, and the inflammation decreased little by little. It was fine for a couple of days, but then the condition worsened again. Now I have red, dry patches below my eye bags... That's it, it's time to stop using it frequently. It's sad because I had high hopes, but unfortunately, it was in vain, although I had already read negative reviews here.
The basic skincare product works well, but it won't help with problematic skin. I believe that the price is too high.
The product has an oily texture but absorbs well. There were no reactions. I have oily skin, but there was no shine or film on the skin after use. I apply it to my skin after washing and do a facial massage. Then I apply moisturizer. Everything is great. The skin feels very soft. I am satisfied. I cannot comment on the lifting effect yet as I have only used it a few times.
I have been using this serum for about 2 weeks now. At first, my face felt a slight tingling sensation, but it didn't happen again the next time I used it. My skin has become softer, and my face looks smoother. I use it with a roller, and it will probably last for about six months, or maybe even longer.
I didn't like this product. It leaves a greasy film on the face and is poorly absorbed by the skin. It has a specific smell. It didn't cause any irritation or allergies. It's too early to talk about the effects. I will see later.
Great serum. I also add vitamin C powder to it. I have normal skin, I'm 45 years old, and I have couperose and pigmentation spots.
Smooths and lifts, and it shows in the mirror. There is a slight tingling sensation on the skin after application, but it is minimal. Oily mature skin, used every evening for 2 weeks.
After using this product, my face turned red and broke out in spots. I tried applying it several times, but had to wash it off after 20 minutes. Additionally, my skin started to peel afterwards.
The serum is really great, it makes my face look radiant and reduces fine wrinkles. It did sting a little bit upon first use, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
Very cool. It takes a little while to absorb, but I use it with benefit: I give myself a massage with it.
I also found it suitable for me. I use it in the morning, mixing it with vitamin C, and then apply cream. It has an oily consistency, but it doesn't make my skin greasy and absorbs well. I like the effect.
It suited me well. I use it in the evenings as it has an oily consistency, then cream. In the morning, there is no greasy shine, which is a problem for my oily skin. I really like the effect.
I purchased a product that combines 2% retinol with squalane to be able to alternate between them. They work very well together! There is no dryness, my skin has become more elastic and there are significantly fewer breakouts. Even the "crow's feet" around my eyes have slightly smoothed out. I have combination skin and I am 29 years old. I am very satisfied.
Well, to be honest, comparing it to Israeli professional or even American professional products doesn't make sense, it falls very short. I bought 3 products - this one, the almond one, and the vitamin powder. I draw my conclusions based on these 3 products. I bought it primarily because of its composition, which is good, and the concentration of "beneficial" substances is significant. I'm not very impressed with the mechanism of action, it seems simple but there are no significant changes in my skin. Maybe it has a strong cumulative effect?! Maybe it's okay for the price. Maybe it's something individual. I wouldn't recommend it to the spoiled ones. It didn't cause any allergies.
I mix it with the vitamin C powder from the same brand. The effect is amazing. The skin glows and looks like after a visit to a cosmetologist. Over time, it seems to lighten redness and visible blood vessels.
No effect at all. Absolutely none.
I love this serum. It is lightweight and oily, and it works well with any oil, especially argan oil. It can be applied on its own, and during the summer, using just this serum is enough for me. I apply it on my face after using a toner, but the best results are achieved when applied on damp skin after rose water or any hydrating water.
Moisturizes, and that's it. It doesn't do anything else, it doesn't tone the skin, it doesn't provide any effects, not even a slight lift, it doesn't smooth wrinkles (I'm not even 30 yet, so my wrinkles are minimal, to say that I have deep wrinkles that even Botox can't fix). Retinol smooths better, and regular clay tones the skin better. I'll finish the bottle and won't buy it again. It's an economical product.
The effect when you apply it in the morning and go out in the sun, the acid changes consistency under the sun's rays and quickly absorbs into the skin, making it velvety, it's cool, but it's not worth even these money.
This product is excellent, I have purchased it for the second time. It can be applied either on its own or mixed with other serums. My favorite method is to apply a mixture of moisturizing serum + 2 drops of this serum + a drop of oil on a dampened face with toner. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film. And then, seal it all with a moisturizer. An outstanding product!
