The Ordinary Resveratrol Serum 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is an effective remedy formulated specifically for ageing skin. It is aimed at reducing the visible signs of premature ageing such as dullness, dryness, and loss of firmness. The serum is protecting your skin from damaging external impact as well, preventing fine lines, age spots, and redness.
The powerful antioxidant Resveratrol protects the skin from UV photodamage. And another key ingredient is Ferulic acid, a phytochemical compound found in plant cells, that stimulates natural Collagen synthesis, making the skin look supple and rejuvenated. Its anti-inflammatory effect copes with acne and other blemishes such as rosacea or eczema. The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% is a powerful soothing serum that improves skin firmness.

Quite an aggressive serum. It has an oily base. When applied, it raises the skin's temperature, causing sweat droplets and a blush to appear. It did not dry out my combination skin. I apply it in a small amount once or twice a week in the evening as a kind of shock therapy to stimulate blood circulation in the facial skin.
I also add vitamin C in powder form. I tried it during the cold season and it leaves oily droplets on my face. I stopped using it. Then, in the summer, I decided to try it again and got the same result. I had to remove it with a tissue.
I use a serum with resveratrol and ferulic acid, and I add vitamin C powder to it. It's impossible to say if this product fulfills all its promises. I use it before bed and seal it with a regular moisturizing cream from The Ordinary (and in the morning, I use niacinamide and seal it with an SPF cream, also from The Ordinary). The consistency of the serum is oily, and the vitamin C dissolves quickly with it. Personally, I have no problems or inconveniences when mixing it on my clean palm. It absorbs quickly into the skin. One might think that the skin would be oily in the morning, but it becomes matte, radiant, and even-toned. I have been testing it for more than three months.
I also noticed a big plus for those who occasionally have individual breakouts or before their menstrual cycle. With the serum and vitamin C, they disappear before having a chance to mature and do not leave red spots like salicylic acid does.
The need for foundation or powder has disappeared; regular sunscreen is enough after basic care.
I will definitely continue using it.
It didn't work for me. I gave it many chances.
The first month of use was fine. It is oily, with a slightly specific smell, and it stings a bit at first, but then SPF and makeup go on it beautifully. The skin feels moisturized and radiant. But starting from the second month, red spots started appearing on my cheeks, not immediately, but about an hour after application. My skin is mature (43 years old) and combination. I took antihistamines, changed toners (tried ones with actives and neutral ones), but no, it's not my product. I don't really want to go to work with a red face.
I read on the internet that ferulic acid can cause a similar reaction, but I couldn't find any information on whether this is normal at all.
The serum is quite aggressive, and it doesn't react well with couperose, so I use it on my forehead, under the eyes, neck, and décolleté. It is quite economical to use, has an oily texture, sometimes absorbs quickly, and sometimes leaves a greasy shine. I haven't noticed any positive results from using it, but I hope for its antioxidant effect.
"I'm buying the third jar already. The effect is: glowing, illuminated, delicate skin in the morning, rashes disappear faster. And it sits well under makeup."
I ordered a face serum for the first time and I didn't like it. I don't see any advantages for myself at all, half of the jar is just sitting there.
I think it's the first time my skin has ever been so dry... I'm very disappointed and upset(((
2.5 months of testing, it's time to leave a review, although it could have been done earlier!
My face has never suffered so much before. The composition clearly doesn't suit me, it feels like acids are burning my face.
I'm 30 years old, with combination skin. For a year now, my skin has become sensitive to new products, I get pimples and redness, but they usually go away quickly and I continue using the products without any issues.
But not this time! I wanted to try a professional product with a more serious composition for aging skin.
I used the serum at night and followed up with a little bit of cream. In the morning, I was shocked! My skin was dry everywhere. I moisturized it with cream multiple times a day for about three weeks, but it didn't help. I tried different ways of using this serum, sometimes it was fine and my skin looked smoother, and the pimples dried up, and the inflammation decreased gradually. It was good for a couple of days, then it worsened again. Now I have red dry spots under my eyes... That's it, it's time to stop using it frequently. It's sad, I had high hopes, but in vain, although I had already read negative reviews here.
How does the basic skincare product work, but it won't help with problem skin. I believe the price is too high.
The product is oily but absorbs well. There were no reactions. I have oily skin, but there is no shine or film on the skin after use.
I apply it to my skin after washing and massage my face. Then I apply cream. Everything is great. My skin is very soft. I am satisfied. I can't write about the lifting effect yet, as I have only used it a few times.
I have been using this serum for about 2 weeks. The first time I used it, my face tingled, but the next time it didn't. My skin has become tender and my face smoother. I use it with a roller, and it will probably last for half a year, or maybe even longer.
I didn't like this product. It leaves a greasy film on the face and is poorly absorbed by the skin. It has a specific smell. It didn't cause any liver or allergies. It's too early to talk about the effect. I'll see later.
Great serum. I also add vitamin C powder to it. I have normal skin type, 45 years old, with couperose and pigmentation spots.
Smoothes and tightens, and it is visible in the mirror, there is a slight burning sensation on the skin after application, but it is insignificant. Oily mature skin, 2 weeks of use every evening.
After using it, my face turned red and got covered in spots. I tried applying it several times, but had to wash it off after 20 minutes. Afterwards, my skin even started peeling.
The serum is very cool, the face looks radiant and fine wrinkles have smoothed out. It tingled a bit during the first use, but that's okay.
Very cool. It takes a little time to absorb, but I use it with pleasure: I give myself a massage with it.
It also suited me. I use it in the morning, mix it with vitamin C, and then apply cream. It has an oily consistency, but the skin does not become greasy and absorbs well. I like the effect.
It suited me. I use it in the evening, as it has an oily consistency, then cream. In the morning, there is no greasy shine, and I have oily skin, which is a problem. I really like the effect.
I bought it together with the 2% retinol in squalane to be able to alternate. They work very well together! There is no dryness, the skin has become more elastic and there are significantly fewer breakouts, even the "crow's feet" near the eyes have smoothed out a bit. I have combination skin, I am 29 years old. Very satisfied.
Well, to be honest, comparing it to Israeli professional products and especially to professional products from the US doesn't make sense, it falls far behind. I bought 3 products - this one, almond, and vitamin C powder. I draw my conclusion based on these 3 products. I purchased it primarily because of its composition, which is good, and the concentration of "beneficial" substances is significant. I'm not particularly impressed with the mechanism of action, it seems simple but my skin hasn't shown any significant changes. Maybe it has a strong cumulative effect?! Maybe it's okay for the price. Maybe it's something individual. I would recommend it to those who are not too spoiled. It didn't cause any allergies.
I mix it with vitamin C powder from the same brand. The effect is amazing. The skin is radiant and looks like after a visit to a beautician, over time it apparently lightens redness and veins.
No effect. Absolutely none.
I love this serum. It is lightweight, oily, and blends well with any oil, especially argan oil. It can be applied on its own, and during the summer, it is sufficient for me. I apply it on my face after using toner, but the best effect is achieved when applied on damp skin after rose water or any hydrating mist.
Moisturizes, and that's it. It does nothing else, doesn't tone the skin, doesn't provide any effects, not even a slight lifting effect, doesn't smooth wrinkles (I'm not even 30 yet, so I barely have any wrinkles to say that I have deep wrinkles that even Botox wouldn't take care of). Retinol smooths better, and regular clay tones the skin better. I'll finish the bottle and won't buy it again. It's an economical product.
The effect when you apply it in the morning and then go out in the sun, the acid changes its consistency under the sunlight and quickly absorbs into the skin, making it velvety, it's cool, but it's not worth even this money.
Excellent product, I have already purchased it for the second time. It can be applied either on its own or mixed with other serums. My favorite method is to apply a mixture of moisturizing serum + 2 drops of this serum + a drop of oil on a dampened face with toner. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film. And then, I seal it all with a cream. Excellent product!!
