Vitamin C is one of all-time favourite vitamins, well-known for its important role in supporting a healthy immune system. When it comes to skincare, its ability to protect, correct and enhance the skin is equally amazing. The easy way to take full advantage of the vitamin C’s benefits is to try the skincare product designed by The Ordinary brand. A word of caution, though: whilst vitamin C is generally pretty safe and well-tolerated, those with sensitive skin may experience some irritation.

In general, I love this brand and have more than half of my skincare products from them, but I will continue to search for a different brand specifically for vitamin C. The product does not absorb well and rolls off easily, leaving a feeling of dirt on my face all day. The scent is also not very pleasant, it reminds me of dirty rags.
By being educated and familiar with the compositions of mesococtails, I disregarded the negative reviews of fractional mesotherapy, which can even be found on impeccable products)) I bought this wonderful product with a professional percentage in the composition, which is quite difficult to find. I am very satisfied, my skin is perfectly smooth, delicate, and it lightens all imperfections (spots, etc.). But this doesn't mean that everyone can apply it to their skin and then complain. Take the time to study it a bit. If your skin is very sensitive to even the slightest acids, then it's not worth it, as the percentage is high, and you need to understand the compositions in order to dilute it. Definitely a full 5 stars. I hope this product doesn't disappear from our favorite online store))
I have been using acids for about 7 years. And only with this product did I burn my skin after 2 applications, in addition to developing subcutaneous pimples that didn't go away for 2 months. So, besides having dry and red skin that itched and peeled like a snake, I also broke out like a teenager, which hadn't happened in over 10 years. Moreover, the consistency is really strange - there are some lumps, and it's also greasy. It's like they mixed baking soda with oil. Be careful, even though I did a patch test, it didn't protect me from anything. If your skin reacts easily to ingredients, it's better not to use it. I didn't expect this from this brand.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll leave a review.
I tried this product several times and was disappointed. I will finish using it as a body product, but I will not buy it again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
The skin on my face burns a lot upon application, even more than products with vitamin C with acidic pH. Despite the fact that my skin is accustomed to acids (glycolic, lactic, and the same red peel from The Ordinary) and is not too sensitive.
The base of the serum is squalane, which makes my skin softer in the morning, which I liked. However, the vitamin C itself is in a very high concentration, so it irritates.
Also, the texture is unpleasant, but if it weren't for the burning sensation, I would continue using it, so it's not the biggest downside.
I recommend using gentler and safer products for the face. But I will give it a second chance as a body product and will use it on my back - maybe it will lighten pigmentation after breakouts.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll write a review :) I used it about 6-7 times. I didn't understand the effect. The consistency is terrible, so I can't use it regularly. Maybe the product is effective if you go through a course, but you need strong nerves for that. It makes my face very oily, and there are small particles in the mixture. It's impossible to cover it with cream because they just mix together and don't absorb on their own or with cream on top. In the morning, my pillow smells sour, and my hair becomes oily. It's just inconvenient, that's all :)
I didn't notice any effect, only a terrible burning sensation on my face.
I have normal skin with a few small acne spots.
After using the serum, it did not fulfill its task, none of the acne spots lightened.
I used only half of it, I won't buy it again. I didn't like the consistency, it's a liquid emulsion with powdered vitamin C. There is discomfort when applying it, as the particles irritate the skin. However, the product helped with skin pigmentation.
I have been using this serum for about a week. I have combination, non-sensitive skin with very pronounced pigmentation. The pigmentation appears in the summer and is very persistent. I constantly use acid-based skincare products, so my skin is accustomed to them.
This serum, or rather suspension, contains a high concentration of vitamin C, so it can sting if your skin is not used to acids. You can mix it with other skincare products to reduce the concentration and minimize the stinging sensation.
After a week of use, I see a wonderful effect - the pigmentation has significantly lightened. I have never seen such a quick and visible effect before, despite having experience with many brightening products and procedures.
In terms of effect, it's excellent, a must-try for those who suffer from pigmentation.
As for the texture, it transforms into an oily consistency upon contact with the skin and contains fine particles. I used it as an addition to my morning skincare routine (although the description says it can be used in the morning and evening, the manufacturer recommends using it in the evening). The serum is a bit greasy, so it cannot be used as a makeup base. I always make sure to apply SPF50 over it. I am still testing it in different variations - using it alone or mixing it with other products, but I haven't found the perfect method for myself yet. Maybe I will still decide to use it solely in the evening.
I applied it at night on acne-prone areas, following the recommendations. I constantly felt a burning sensation. The last time it started itching unbearably - it burned my face. It has been 3 days and it still hasn't subsided.
This serum is strange. It is greasy and feels like there is sand in it. I will not be repurchasing it.
I have normal skin prone to dryness. I use it several times a week and only at night. The texture is greasy and honestly not pleasant, although I am not very demanding in this regard. The result is mediocre, it slightly evens out the skin tone. I will not repurchase, I will try a serum with vitamin C.
It is very cool, it tingles a little. I liked that it can be used as a standalone product, I don't feel like applying cream afterwards.
The product is good, I have been using it for over a week, every other day. It is not recommended for sensitive skin as it tingles my combination skin a bit. Overall, the product is good, it removes pigmentation spots, even after a few applications it is already noticeable.
I read about the sand and expected actual sand, but I could barely feel it. It is finely dispersed and barely noticeable. My skin is not as smooth as I expected.
I really liked it. Before this, I used natural and Korean cosmetics, but after using this serum, my face looks amazing. I haven't had such a healthy complexion since I was 12 years old. I'm 22 now. I apply it at night, it's not suitable for under makeup because it's quite dense, but it's perfect for nighttime use. It heals wounds and even got rid of a pimple that had been there for a month. The wounds heal instantly with it. I love it and will definitely repurchase.
I did not buy this suspension here, but I still want to leave my review here. This suspension has a liquid texture, a fatty substance with powder in it. You apply it to your face and massage it into the skin. After the first and second use, my skin was red and burning, but then it all went away. It tingles a bit when I use it after a while. The suspension doesn't absorb into the skin; it stays on the skin as a thin, fatty layer. But the effect... it's amazing! I have been fighting pigmentation for a long time now. I always look for good products. There are a lot of Korean products for skin care. But after using this suspension, I really saw the results quickly. The pigmentation spots on my forehead almost faded away. They are still visible now. I can confidently do without foundation. In general, my skin looks much better in the morning. The pigmentation lightening is great. The capillaries have passed. Plus, it moisturizes the face. I am very pleased with the result. The cream can stain bedding in orange. It is better to give it an hour or two to absorb before going to bed. I will buy it again.
I didn't buy it for makeup, but I see a lot of negative reviews, it needs to be corrected, I have almost used up my entire tube. At first, I didn't like the serum, it was greasy, oily, and had small particles, I didn't understand how it worked. But now, after completing the course, so to speak, I can see the results. If I want a fresh look in the morning, I use it.
Vitamin C is very beneficial for the skin, it may sting after application if your skin is not accustomed to acids, especially at a high concentration. This is only for those who regularly use acids in skincare or have non-sensitive skin. My mom's skin burned terribly after the first application, so she had to wash it off, and sometimes it stings in the area around the eyes for me as well, but now my skin is used to it.
In the morning, after use, the combination of squalane and vitamin C gives a magical result. The tone evens out, the skin is moisturized, even, and radiant. Squalane supports and restores collagen levels. And vitamin C is very effective in regenerating skin cells. So I can recommend it only to those who are willing to endure some discomfort but have results, and who have non-sensitive, allergic, or damaged skin. Keep in mind, if you have any wounds, it will sting, it's like rubbing with lemon.
This is not a serum, but a microdermabrasion. While you rub it on your face... the word "spread" does not fit. And I noticed that it clogs pores, in addition to the charm of its application. I can't wait for it to be finished. I don't know how it affects the skin because I don't use it systematically. After this purchase, I am unlikely to buy anything else from this company.
I didn't buy it here, but I want to add a positive review so as not to discourage potential buyers from this great product. The biggest downside of this suspension is its consistency, it's a bit greasy with fine "sand". That's why it's better to apply it an hour before sleep, so it doesn't rub off on the pillow. You can also add a little bit to your regular cream. I use it every other day only in the evening. In the morning, SPF is a must. I'm willing to forgive all the inconveniences because of its effectiveness.
Used it about 5 times. Unfortunately, the product is terrible. My face itches a lot, as if a swarm of mosquitoes bit me, and it continues to irritate. Because of this, I tried using it on my hands, but the effect was the same. It was also the same on men's skin. I didn't see any results since I used it only a few times, and I don't plan on using it further. The smell is similar to lemon acid for cleaning kettles. Maybe I'll try using it on my heels.
I didn't like it. I have combination skin. This product comes in the form of a cream, and there are some kind of granules, like sand... When you apply it to your face, it rolls off the skin. It's unpleasant to apply it to the skin because of its specific texture - like sand on the face. It stings... I definitely don't recommend applying it around the lips, as it dries out the skin a lot. I won't be using this product again.
I remember when I first applied it: the next morning, all my skin flakes simply disappeared. It was shocking.
It evens out the skin texture, making it soft and radiant, moisturizes well, evens out the tone, but practically does not lighten spots and freckles, so I do not recommend it for those who specifically want it for these purposes. It does not oxidize, of course, because there is no way.
My advice: use it at night, and you can skip applying cream on top, especially when it is very nourishing, unless you have very dry skin, otherwise there will be a feeling of heaviness on the skin. And don't pay attention to the tingling sensation, of course, unless it is too strong, this effect quickly fades.
