Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Start by thoroughly washing your hands with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods, so you can try a few and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. The cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it has been correctly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup — it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or folds, the cup has not fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established and the cup is successfully positioned!
