Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods - you can try them and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is properly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup - it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or indentations, it means the cup hasn't fully expanded. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it’s in place, try pulling slightly on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is securely in place!
It opens up well. However, I would have preferred to buy one with a ring. (35 years old. Haven't given birth naturally, and I engage in sports). For those who are wondering how to determine the size (during menstruation, you should feel the cervix with your finger (a bump on the wall - you won't confuse it), if it's on one phalanx - then you need a short cup like this). I chose size M. In this short version, the capacity is like that of a standard size S. It's a bit small for me, I need to change it more frequently during the first two days compared to my old regular M. Overall, it's a wonderful product, I will never go back to using other methods. Maybe I will buy size L as well.
