Before first use, sterilize the cup by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods – you can try them and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a distinctive suction or popping sound, indicating that it has been placed correctly. If in doubt, feel the base of the cup – it should be round or oval once inserted. If you feel any dents or folds, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established and the cup is successfully in place!
