MeLuna is the first brand of menstrual cups made in Germany. They are cost-effective and environmentally friendly compared to menstrual pads or tampons. Menstrual cups are small in size and serve as sanitary-hygienic products for women. They are made from latex, silicone, or, as in the case of MeLuna menstrual cups, from high-quality thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). MeLuna menstrual cups are inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual blood.
The Merula Cup impresses with its bright orange color. The cotton pouch is adorned with cute little foxes in various poses. The cup has a round shape, a firm top edge, and a thin and flexible base. It features a flexible, three-part stem to adjust the cup to fit the individual's body structure.

Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Begin by washing your hands thoroughly with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques – try them out and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a distinct suction or popping sound, indicating it is properly positioned. If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup – it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you notice any dents or folds, the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and attempt to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, try pulling slightly on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
