Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it by boiling in water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods—you can try each and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it has been correctly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the base of the cup; it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or creases, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently tug on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is set, and the cup is successfully in position!
