Before first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Always start by washing your hands with soap. Fold the cup—there are different folding methods, so you can try various ones to find the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Upon proper insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it’s correctly positioned. If unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you feel dents or creases, the cup hasn’t opened properly. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
