The MeLuna Menstrual Cup with a ball, size M, in pink, from the MeLuna brand, represents a wise investment. A single reusable cup can replace over 1000 tampons per year. This is not only cost-effective but also eco-friendly. The cup is entirely safe and hygienic. Unlike traditional pads or tampons, it does not absorb the liquid but simply collects it, and it doesn't leave behind any fibres. This option is particularly suited for women prone to mycosis or frequent bacterial infections.
Features of the MeLuna Soft Menstrual Cup Ball:
- diameter – 41 mm;
- height – 48 mm;
- capacity - 28 ml;
- the Soft model has a firm surface and is better suited for women with weak pelvic floor muscles;
- made from soft and smooth to the touch thermoplastic elastomer TPE;
- easy to insert and virtually unnoticeable inside;
- moves with your body, preventing any leakage;
- can be used overnight;
- recommended to be changed at least every 12 hours;
- frequency of emptying the cup varies individually according to the flow intensity.-
Before using for the first time, sterilize the cup by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes. Start by washing your hands thoroughly with soap. Fold the cup. There are various folding methods available—you can try different ones and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is correctly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the bottom of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or creases, it means the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently hold the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully inserted!
