Apply your makeup: start with eyeshadow if you plan to use it, and lightly coat your eyelashes with waterproof mascara. Take the false eyelashes and "fit" them to your eyes. If the strip is too long, trim it with scissors. You can also trim the length of the lashes if needed. Warm up the lashes by holding them between your palms or wrapping the strip around your finger to make them more flexible. Apply the adhesive. The correct method for applying false eyelashes is to put the glue directly on the lash band or cluster, not on your eyelid. A toothpick or cotton swab can make this easier. Wait 20 seconds after applying the glue to let it thicken slightly. Attach the strip from the outer corner of your eye, pressing for about 20 seconds to secure the glue. Use tweezers to place the strip as close to your natural lash line as possible. Finish by applying eyeliner and another coat of waterproof mascara.
