Apply your makeup: if you plan to use eyeshadow, do so now, and lightly coat your lashes with waterproof mascara. Take the false eyelashes and "fit" them to your eyes. If the strip is too long, trim it with scissors. You can also shorten the individual lashes if needed. Warm up the lashes by holding them between your palms or wrapping the strip around your finger to make them more flexible. Apply the glue. The best method for applying false eyelashes is to put the glue directly on the lash cluster or strip, not on your eyelid. It's convenient to do this using a toothpick or a cotton swab. Wait 20 seconds after applying the glue to allow it to thicken slightly. Apply the strip starting from the outer corner of the eye, pressing for about 20 seconds to let the glue set. Use tweezers to position the strip as close to your natural lash line as possible. Finish by applying eyeliner and another coat of waterproof mascara to blend the false lashes with your natural ones.
