My 5-year-old child is really happy with this toy, the scrubbing sponge. However, he finds it painful and unpleasant to use. He does use it a little, but overall, it is too harsh for his delicate skin. Though, I suppose it varies from person to person.

It quickly faded/lost color.
This is an excellent sponge. It cleans quite well, foams up superbly, and does not shed. Over time, it transitions from blue to a greenish color. For me, this is a signal that it's time to replace the sponge. After all, it is a breeding ground for bacteria.
