It washes very well until squeaky clean, but I have been using organic products for about 7 years now. For those hair types that are not accustomed to natural remedies, it takes some time to adjust. During the summer, I even use it without conditioner, and my hair is of medium length.
This product does a poor job of cleaning; you need to apply it at least twice. However, it also causes my scalp to quickly become greasy, which I haven't experienced with other shampoos.
This shampoo is actually quite good, especially for the price, but it tends to dry out my hair (I have a perm), so I use it occasionally as an alternative to my regular shampoo.
I have been using this product not for the first time, but on a regular basis. I alternate it with a bio shampoo (in a blue jar). My hair feels soft, to the extent that I only need to use conditioner once a week now. The quality is superb! And the price for this amount is amazing! I wholeheartedly recommend it!
