Acne-Prone Skin Face Cream - Zein Obagi Zo Skin Health Acne Control Creme
For me, this cream is an indispensable thing while I'm treating my SCT. Everything about it is great. Before using a product with benzoyl peroxide, consult a doctor or at least google the side effects because I see in reviews that it makes your eyes smell, which is actually one of the side effects. This cream really does dry out the skin because that's how it works. Because of this, I bought the Recovery Cream from the same ZO Skin line.
I experienced a severe allergic reaction that worsens with each attempt of pinpoint application (even with a few months in between). My eyes swell, my skin becomes flaky and red, and dermatitis develops. Additionally, it corrodes fabrics like bleach, even washing hands with soap after application doesn't help. Towels, bedding, and clothing are ruined. I purchased it from a cosmetologist based on her recommendation.
Only this cream puts my daughter's acne into remission. It does not irritate or clog pores.
The cream is good, HOWEVER, use it carefully as it accidentally stained my pajamas and faded the color!!!
This cream really works! I have been struggling with clogged pores and breakouts on my face for decades because I have very oily skin and nothing helped! This cream is a lifesaver for me, I even stopped going to the cosmetologist for facials because it doesn't make sense anymore, my skin is absolutely clear! Just be careful when using it! Gradually, so that the skin gets used to it! The first time I applied a lot of cream and my face turned red, so I had to wash it off, but then I used a little bit at a time and there was no such reaction. I'm finishing my second tube and will definitely buy more!
This product definitely dries the skin, evens out the tone, and minimizes pores. A slight tingling sensation appeared only on the third day, and there were hardly any other sensations, even though my skin is sensitive. However, unfortunately, for my skin, this is not a cure-all. Pimples still appear as they did before. They just go away faster because the cream dries out those areas significantly. Overall, I don't feel any tightness, so I rarely add a light moisturizing cream.
I experienced a sudden outbreak during hormonal changes, but this cream did an excellent job in solving the problem, which is why I give it a 5-star rating! However, be careful when applying it, as it dried out my skin. It's better to use it less frequently (I used it once a day, but one day I accidentally applied it twice, which resulted in excessive dryness). Also, make sure to wash off the cream completely from your hands and allow it to fully absorb into the skin. I really wanted to sleep, so I wiped my hands on a towel and laid on the pillow. In the morning, I noticed that the cream had removed the color from the fabric of the towel and pillowcase, turning them from gray to reddish! This is something important to consider.
I cannot respond to the comment as the button is not active. Regarding the response for Ekaterina: I do not have blackheads, so I cannot say if it helps or not. I use acids in my skincare routine.
I have been using this product for a long time upon the recommendation of a cosmetologist. At first, I experienced dryness and redness of the skin. However, after a while, my skin adapted and there is no discomfort after application. When used in combination with other products, it works well and evens out the skin tone where there were breakouts. It also reduces closed comedones.
Here's my review as well)) I was afraid to use it because the cosmetologist warned me that it could cause dermatitis and severe peeling. But in fact, it didn't happen with my skin. No matter how thick of a layer I apply, it doesn't matter to her)) I apply it every evening to my entire face, regardless of whether there are breakouts or not. My skin is problematic, even on my forehead, which doesn't break out. There is no tightness or dryness. I'm pleased that my face doesn't get oily in the morning when I wake up. Without it, if I go to sleep, in the morning it feels like I'm covered in oil.
The cream worked well for my daughter; her rashes have significantly reduced and no new ones are appearing. Her skin is not overly dry, and it did not cause any irritation, despite her sensitive skin. I would also like to express my gratitude to the makeup team for the gifts.
I can't imagine how I lived without this cream. It's the first cream that quickly reduces inflammation of pimples, but it should only be applied in small amounts and targeted areas.
Good cream. If applied correctly, it won't cause any burning sensation. After just one use, my face looks better. I think this cream is worth the money. The only thing that bothers me is the smell, it reminds me of some kind of pills or chemicals.
The cream works, the breakouts disappear. However, if you apply it to the entire area, where there are breakouts and where there are none, it horribly dries out the skin. It's better to apply it locally. In 1-2 days, you can get rid of the pain from inflammation. I didn't have any problems with burns like some people mentioned below, but that's individual. Although it seriously dries out the skin around the nose. I recommend using a moisturizing cream over it, but overall, the cream is worth every penny.
I bought this as a gift for a 13-year-old girl, and she only uses it for acne. It didn't cause any irritations on her skin. The cream is effective in treating acne. The only downside is its price, but the quality is good.
I expected more..... It feels like the cream is watery, as my skin feels tightened after using it..... It stings on my cheeks, and overall, it doesn't provide any results at all!
I was expecting something different from this cream, but it is what it is. Only get it if you have problem skin. It dries out the skin a lot, so it's definitely not worth using it every day or under makeup. As mentioned below, it's better to use it locally. In that case, it will last you a very long time. It has an unpleasant smell, but it doesn't sting or burn.
A savior for my problematic skin. At first, it seemed very harsh, causing redness and even swelling. Avoid the eye areas categorically! After a week of use, everything subsided. Breakouts disappeared, and my skin cleared up. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new supply.
My salvation! It is expensive, but effective! Now I hardly have any breakouts, only a few acne spots remain. At first, the skin needs to adjust, the face swells slightly and it stings. But it goes away within a week. We apply the cream in a thin layer only in the evening. If it burns too much, you can apply it every other day for the first week, so that the skin gets used to it. I've tried everything, La Roche-Posay Duo and other pharmacy remedies! This one really works, in a month my skin has changed a lot and I can really see the results!
The cream causes burns and peeling if applied in slightly larger amounts. I recommend applying it only on dry skin and specifically on breakouts, then the effect will be noticeable.
I bought it not here, but at a cosmetic clinic. I used it with skin wipes, accelerator, facial cleanser, and primer with SPF. In the first month, my combination skin became significantly better. But then, I developed a terrible allergy to acne control that I wouldn't recommend to anyone! Overall, this brand is heavily promoted everywhere and to everyone! The effect is equivalent to disappointment. And yes, I'm covered in pimples again... and I paid 12,000 UAH for all this.
The cream caused an allergic reaction, which appeared as a sunburn. I applied it in the morning, and by evening my face was red and itchy. It took about 4-5 days to get rid of it completely. This cream didn't work for me, especially considering that I have oily skin and can usually tolerate mild and medium peels without any noticeable redness. I purchased it from a cosmetologist.
I purchased this product to apply it specifically on inflammations. Prior to this, I used regular pharmacy products with benzoyl peroxide in the same dosage. For me, Acnetrol turned out to be extremely harsh. It didn't reduce the inflammations at all, and it excessively dried out and burned my skin. I can't say that the product is bad, as individual intolerance is possible.
The cream is simply magical. Over the past six months, it has completely eliminated all redness, pimples, and acne scars. It is recommended to use it under the supervision of a cosmetologist according to a specific regimen. The price is high, but the cream is definitely worth the money. I highly recommend it.
The product is good, effective, and helpful, but it must be used with caution. First, apply it locally on acne to check for any allergies, and then use it every three days at night, also locally! When the skin gets used to it, you can use it more often. I have been using it for six months and apply it in the morning and evening specifically on acne or post-acne, not every day but only when needed. Under no circumstances should it be applied to the entire face, so it's no wonder that some girls get burns. And don't forget to use SPF 50 sunscreen on top of this cream when staying in the sun, otherwise, you will experience the opposite effect. Also, find yourself good cosmetologists with higher education who know what they are recommending. Personally, this cream helped me lighten all the dark spots after acne. But I take this matter seriously and also use other products from this brand, as it works well as a whole. Additionally, occasional facials and peels from a cosmetologist are necessary. You can't just buy one cream and think it's a panacea; it does its job excellently, but if you want to apply something to the entire face, there are plenty of other creams available.
I have been using this cream for three years now. The girls below are writing about burns and redness, most likely due to incorrect usage. The cream should be applied in a targeted manner, not smearing it all over the face, but only on inflammations. With proper usage, it will last for a year, in my case - one and a half years. Plus, after using this cream, it is necessary to moisturize the skin abundantly to avoid any consequences. The cream is truly powerful and suitable for fighting acne; it performs its function at 200%. Before applying, it is necessary to read the instructions and consult with a cosmetologist, otherwise, the results will indeed be as the girls describe in the comments below.
I do not recommend it!
After using this product, my skin felt like it had been burned by the sun. I experienced eye irritation during sleep, and when I woke up, it felt like someone had sprayed me with a gas canister. I had to throw away my new bedding because it got ruined within a week of using this cream. I am shocked at how it can be applied to the skin. I purchased it from a cosmetologist, not from a website.
I bought the cream not at Makeup. The cosmetologist warned me to apply it very thinly. I applied it, and the next day my skin started to peel. Then I applied it every other day, the same thing. Then once a week, the same thing. I was disappointed that I wasted money, and the cream didn't work, so I hid it far away so it wouldn't catch my eye)) BUT I APPLIED IT DURING WINTER. In summer, I remembered again, and tried it again. My skin was no longer peeling, the result is definitely there.
I didn't buy it here, but I am very satisfied with the result. At first, my skin's reaction seemed to worsen, as my beautician warned me, but after 7-10 days, it had a wow effect. I am pleased and recommend using it under the supervision of a beautician.
I didn't buy it here, but I really like it. I only apply it locally on acne, it's not recommended for the entire face as it can cause burning, itching, and excessive dryness.
