Turpentine baths are taken in courses of 10-12 sessions, or more if prescribed by a doctor. Baths can be taken daily, every other day, or two days in a row with a break on the third day. To prepare for the baths, you will need a water thermometer, a clock, and a plastic measuring cup to measure the amount of white emulsion. It is also advisable to have a blood pressure monitor and medical petroleum jelly available. Additionally, have a robe or a large terry towel ready. Precautions should be taken to avoid getting the white emulsion in your eyes and on the most sensitive areas of the body. Store the turpentine emulsions out of the reach of children.
