To ensure your candle burns evenly and releases its fragrance effectively, follow these guidelines to extend its lifespan and enhance its quality:
· When lighting the candle for the first time, allow the top layer of wax to fully melt (about an hour). This prevents tunneling around the wick, ensuring the candle burns longer and maintains an aesthetic appearance.
· Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to 5 mm (you can simply break off the charred tip by hand). This helps maintain an even flame, prevents soot, and stops burnt debris from falling into the wax.
· Do not blow out the candle! To preserve the fragrance and avoid the smell of smoke, simply cover it with a lid. The flame will extinguish in a few seconds without access to oxygen. Then, promptly uncover it to allow the smoke to dissipate without mixing with the essential oils.
· Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from flammable surfaces.
· Avoid burning the candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time, as the wax may overheat, diminishing the fragrance. If necessary, extinguish the candle for 15 minutes, let it cool, and then relight it.
