To prepare your natural nails for application, start by removing any old polish using an acetone-based nail polish remover. Trim your natural nails and then use a wooden stick to gently push back the cuticles and remove any thin film (pterygium) underneath. Next, lightly buff the surface of your nails with a soft file until they have a matte finish. Select the appropriate size of artificial nails for each finger and arrange them in order. Apply a small amount of glue to the inner surface of each artificial nail and spread it evenly using the bottle's nozzle. Press the artificial nails onto your natural nails and hold them in place for a few moments. Remove any excess glue with a cotton pad.
