I use this mask together with the shampoo, conditioner, and two-phase spray from the same series to save my dyed blonde hair. After a month of use, my dry and dull hair has become lively and shiny. I plan to continue using the series.
I bought a conditioner and a mask from Joico. The conditioner is not bad, it moisturizes the hair nicely and makes it soft. But the mask is just awful. Either I don't know how to use it, or what: after applying it to the hair, it feels sticky, it's hard to rinse out, and the hair looks dull and very dry. I didn't like it.
Girls, this mask DOES NOT work without a moisturizer. But the moisturizer works perfectly fine without the mask. I will buy the mask now, haven't tried it yet, but when I bought the moisturizer at the salon, they warned me about the mask protocol. The moisturizer is amazing, I highly recommend it. Try buying a small one, you'll love it. You can apply it to the scalp.
Oh, what a bunch of experts we have here. If you don't know how to use it, don't even bother. And what's with the 100% gray hair claim? What nonsense! And Estelle, don't even get me started. I remember it messed up the pH of my scalp. Such a horrible product. Yuck!
I've been using Joyko for about 5 years now, including this system. Without this mask, there is no effect - I've tested it. It only works as a whole system, especially on severely damaged hair. They have to be brittle and porous. I have blonde hair and this is the only thing that saves me from going bald. I hope my reasonable review helps.
I purchased 4 products for deep hair reconstruction, which includes this mask. The effectiveness is noticeable after the first use, and I am satisfied with the result. I don't know how it will work on its own. The hair has become more resilient. As for greasiness, I agree that the roots get oily a little faster, but it can be tolerated. The hair is very easy to comb and doesn't tangle. It has a healthy appearance. I will continue doing these procedures myself as it is very expensive in the salon. I recommend it.
Some of the comments in the reviews smell like a saying from the "hear the bell" series. Where did you see such "instructions" where the manufacturer insists on using it together with a hydrator or shampoo? If they persistently imposed it on you at the salon, it does not mean that it was intended by the manufacturer. You should carefully read the label, the actual manufacturer (not those who attached the translation sticker and their own instructions) does not write anywhere, neither on the hydrator nor on the reconstructor, that it should be used together! These are completely independent products. The original instruction says: apply to wet hair, leave for 5 minutes, rinse - and happiness will be yours. That's it.
I have all 4 products from this series - shampoo, conditioner, mask, and hydrator. They work only when used together. Leave them on for 5 to 30 minutes, and you will see amazing results! I have been using this series exclusively for over 3 years. The only thing I don't like is that the dye on colored hair fades quickly from these procedures.
Gorgeous mask, one of the best in professional cosmetics. Reading the negative reviews, I am amazed, ladies, at least read the description before purchasing and familiarize yourself with the product more carefully. This mask does not work on the surface of the hair and does not have a conditioning effect like familiar products.
Firstly, it has a cumulative effect.
Secondly, it works inside the hair, aiming to strengthen and restore it.
Thirdly, when using this mask, it is MANDATORY to thoroughly towel-dry the hair and comb it.
If you do this for a couple of weeks, the result will be superb! It is especially noticeable on porous and bleached hair.
This mask is the best. It is only used after applying the Joico K-PAK Clarify shampoo, which is left on the hair from roots to ends for 1-2 minutes. And after this mask, at least the Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator is applied. At least! And there is no better combination than this :) Do not buy this mask and do not criticize it if you cannot buy at least 3 elements of the K-PAK system. If you can buy them, you will be super satisfied because only this system stops hair breakage.
Disgusting mask! The price is high, I bought a 250 ml tube, which is very small, the smell is awful, it is not effective at all, and it also runs out quickly. I do not recommend this mask to anyone, girls.
Those who write negative reviews do not read the instructions!! There is no point in buying just this mask, you need the whole 4-step system or, as I like, together with the hydrator, 5 minutes mask + 5 minutes hydrating conditioner!! And your hair will be silky!
I am just amazed, people buy one mask, put it on their head and expect a miracle. NIGHTMARE. Why not just go on Google and read that this mask is part of a restoration system? Is it too difficult? No, they rush and then write all sorts of nonsense. You can't just pour keratin like that, that's why it turns out to be rubbish, and then they blame the mask. This is a reconstructor and it should be used with a shampoo, sealer, and hydrator. That's when you'll be amazed, like I was once))))
Awful mask!!! It's liquid and the smell is not great, it has no effect at all!!! A complete waste of money! But the new product, on the other hand, is amazing, it nourishes very well, and the shampoos are 5 out of 5!!!
I really wanted to try Joico, as almost all the reviews are positive and it's rare to find a negative one, but unfortunately, I ended up in that group.
Let's start with the fact that the price is not cheap, but since I diligently started buying hair treatment products, I decided not to be stingy. And what happened? Nothing... Neither the mask nor the conditioner worked well for my hair.
So, the mask has an unclear, uneven color and not a very pleasant smell (good expiration date!). It has a thick consistency and applies okay, but I needed a lot of it during the first application because my hair simply "ate" it. And here I was excited, but it was too early... I followed the necessary time, rinsed it off, and let it air dry. But there was no effect, no shine like with many other masks, no silkiness, no easy combing, NOTHING.
There are many cheaper masks with better properties.
Nothing special. Not worth the money. I use the whole recovery system, one of which components is this mask. The effect of the whole system is like the effect of one good mask (that suits you). Considering the cost and the duration of the "game" with applying and washing off all the components - rating 1 out of 5.
One of the best masks. And in general, this series of reconstruction is simply wonderful. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive. For this price, I can buy it in a salon.
