MeLuna is the first menstrual cup produced in Germany. They are economical and eco-friendly compared to menstrual pads or tampons. Menstrual cups are small in size and are sanitary hygiene products for women. They are made from latex, silicone or, as in the case of MeLuna menstrual cups, high-quality thermoplastic elastomer TPE. MeLuna menstrual cups are inserted into the vagina and collect menstrual blood.

Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to wash your hands with soap first. Fold the cup. There are different ways to insert it – you can try various methods and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. After insertion, it will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound. This indicates that it has been inserted correctly. If you are unsure, feel the base of the cup – it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you notice any dents or irregularities on the surface, it means the cup hasn’t fully opened. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Pull lightly on the stem: if you feel resistance, the suction has occurred, and the cup is successfully in place!
