First, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques—you can try various methods and choose the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction sound or a "pop," indicating it has been properly placed. If unsure, feel the base of the cup; when correctly positioned, it should be round or oval. If you detect any dents or folds, the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to ensure a suction seal has formed. Try pulling on the stem slightly: if you feel resistance, a suction seal has been created and the cup is successfully in place!
