For daily skin care:
Immediately after shaving, bathing, or sunbathing, apply pure jojoba oil or a blend with other vegetable oils (such as avocado or almond). You can also add 1 drop each of orange and lemon essential oils to 1-2 tablespoons of the base oil.
Oil for wrinkles around the eyes:
Use pure or mixed with avocado oil (1:1) as a base. Add 1-2 drops each of mint and fennel essential oils to 1-2 tablespoons of the base. Apply 1-2 times a day. For dry, inflamed, or flaky skin, use the same method or as a mask or application. Add 1-2 drops of orange oil to 1-2 tablespoons of the base.
For sluggish, aging, or tired skin:
Add 1-2 drops of essential oil of your choice to 1-2 tablespoons of jojoba oil. Use as described above.
For problem skin:
Add 1-2 drops each of lavender and tea tree essential oils to 1-2 tablespoons of jojoba oil. Apply to problem areas or use as applications for 15-20 minutes, 1-2 times a day.
To soften hardened skin areas:
Use pure or mixed with other vegetable oils, or add 4-5 drops of tea tree essential oil to 1-2 teaspoons of the base. Suitable for massage or applications.
For loss of skin elasticity, scars, and stretch marks:
Apply jojoba oil or a blend with other vegetable oils to problem areas, or add 2-3 drops of rosemary essential oil and 1-2 drops each of lavender and mint essential oils to 1-2 teaspoons of the base. Massage the mixture into the affected areas. To prevent stretch marks, add 1-2 drops each of lemon and orange essential oils to 2 tablespoons of the base. Massage into problem areas.
For cellulite:
Use pure or add 2-3 drops of essential oils such as geranium, juniper, orange, lemon, fennel, or lavender, patchouli, rosemary to 1-2 tablespoons of the base. For vigorous massage of problem areas.
For lip care:
Add 1-2 drops each of melissa or peppermint essential oils to 1-2 tablespoons of jojoba oil. Apply to lips every morning and evening, gently massaging.
For hair care:
Apply jojoba oil or jojoba-enriched shampoo to the roots of the hair, gently massaging, 10-15 minutes before washing your hair.
For use with a comb: Add 5-7 drops of ylang-ylang or orange essential oil to 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil. Apply to a comb and run through your hair 2-3 times a day. Especially effective for dry, brittle, or thin hair.
For hair loss:
Follow the same procedure as "Hair Care," but add eucalyptus or sage essential oils. These oil blends with jojoba oil can be used as applications on the scalp for 15-20 minutes before washing your hair.
