It contains lauric acid, which has a high affinity with hair proteins, allowing it to be well absorbed. It helps prevent the proliferation of bacteria such as S. aureus (responsible for atopic dermatitis) and P. acnes, and has a soothing effect in vitro by inhibiting specific markers of skin inflammation.
