Instructions for Using LadyCup
Ensure your hands are thoroughly washed before handling LadyCup. Prior to the first use, you must sterilize the LadyCup.
Recommended positions for insertion include sitting, squatting, kneeling, or standing. Try these positions and choose the one that is most comfortable for you. To facilitate insertion, wet the LadyCup with water or apply a water-based lubricant. Hold the LadyCup with your fingers, compress it, and then fold it in half lengthwise with the help of the fingers of your other hand.
Hold the LadyCup as close to the base as possible with one hand and insert it into your vagina at a backward angle.
The correct position for LadyCup is lower than where a tampon would sit. Once inserted, release your fingers, allowing the LadyCup to fully expand and adhere to the vaginal walls. Run a finger around the cup’s edge to ensure it is properly sealed.
Empty the LadyCup at least once every 12 hours, depending on your menstrual flow.
Always handle the LadyCup with clean hands. In your chosen position (sitting, standing, etc.), locate the stem or the base of the LadyCup. You can help by gently bearing down, which will move the LadyCup slightly downward. Squeeze the base of the LadyCup and then, after relaxing, gently remove it. During your first removal, it’s important to stay calm and as relaxed as possible. If you encounter difficulties, use a finger to break the vacuum seal by detaching the cup's rim from the vaginal wall. This will make it easier to remove the LadyCup.
Dispose of the contents of the cup into the toilet.
