Santa Maria Novella Gelsomino 2023 Eau de Parfum

Gelsomino is a love story, a tale of love at first sight between the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de' Medici, and his "Stufa dei Mugherini." This fragrance pays homage to the jasmine sambac, the Duke's favorite flower, which arrived from Goa in 1688. He ordered the construction of a heated jasmine greenhouse at the Medici Villa in Castello and prohibited its cultivation throughout the kingdom. Gelsomino Eau de Parfum brings this story into our daily lives, opening with top notes of bergamot. At its heart, jasmine bursts forth in a bouquet of intoxicating rose and tuberose blossoms, finally settling on a base of musk and vanilla.
