Shaving brush from the Essentiel collection by Plisson. The traditional-shaped handle ensures a proper and comfortable grip. The brush, made from pure Russian grey badger hair, is resilient and invigorating, making it perfect for a daily facial massage. It is available in the standard size 12, which is ideal for everyday shaving. Also available as a set with a shaving bowl and soap, or with a stand.
The best time for shaving is in the morning, right after a shower and before breakfast: hair, which is primarily composed of keratin, is softer and easier to cut, and facial skin is less fragile. Prepare the shaving lather by loading the brush with soap or shaving cream. The use of products known as "shaving preparation" serves a dual purpose: it enhances the moisture of the hair by removing its oily layer (sebum) and, secondly, protects the skin from the blade's aggressiveness.

1. Using Shaving Soap: First, wet your face (ideally after a shower), quickly place the brush under warm water, and lather the soap inside a bowl (without squeezing the bristles) until you get a thick, creamy foam. Apply it to your face in circular motions for a minute or two—this will soften and straighten the beard hairs sufficiently.
2. Using Shaving Cream: After preparing your face and wetting the brush with warm water, apply a small amount of cream onto the brush and lather your face for one to two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a small amount of cream directly to each cheek using the tube, then emulsify it with the brush.
MaintenanceTo maintain the quality of the brush for years to come, we recommend thoroughly rinsing it after each use to remove all traces of cream or soap and draining the water. Then, gently pat it dry with a towel before placing it bristles down on a suitable stand.
