Dreamers is inspired by the extreme youth of our time, their innocence, and their thirst for experimentation. Dreamers opens with a burst of aldehydes, lily of the valley, and violet, immediately followed by a warm, powdery heart of iris and rose. Perfumer Mark Buxton employs an intriguing trick by using geranium oil to maintain the warmth of the powdery notes without becoming overly sweet. This also creates a sense of space between the wearer and the fragrance—while aldehydic flowers typically have enveloping properties, Dreamers always remains elusive. The fragrance rests on a woody, resinous base with dominant notes of tonka bean, cedar, incense, and sandalwood. Unlike some fragrances of this style, Dreamers never becomes overwhelming—it rather evokes an enduring sense of emptiness.
