Test for Diagnosing Group A Strep Throat Diather Diagnostics & Therapy

Step 1: Prepare the solution: Add 4 drops of Reagent 1 to the test tube, followed by 4 drops of Reagent 2. Gently mix the solution.
Step 2: Prepare the sample: Use the swab provided in the kit to collect a sample from the throat. It's recommended to take a swab from the back of the throat, tonsils, and any other inflamed areas. Place the swab with the sample into the test tube containing the solution. Rotate the swab in the test tube and then leave it there for about 1 minute to extract antigens from the swab.
Step 3: Extract the material: Gently press the tip of the swab against the side of the test tube to squeeze out as much material as possible. Remove the swab from the tube while compressing it against the tube walls.
Step 4: Prepare the test cassette: Attach the pipette tip to the top of the test tube. Remove the cassette from its packaging and place it on a flat, clean surface. Add 3 drops of the solution to the sample well (S) on the test cassette. Start the timer. Results should be read within 5 minutes.
