Foundation - NYX Professional Total Control Pro Drop Foundation
The worst foundation I have ever bought. It's simply a waste of money. I trusted the NYX salespeople :( The product is very watery, and it accentuates all imperfections after application. It makes dry skin even drier. If you try to cover it with powder, it's even worse. My face looks like a mask and wrinkles appear immediately in areas with facial expressions.
Color: Light Porcelain
This product tends to excessively dry out the skin, accentuating wrinkles and flakiness. The shade is suitable for very fair skin.
Currently, I am using it as a concealer.
I initially thought that 13ml would be too little. However, this foundation is incredibly liquid and has a velvety texture, giving a slightly powdered appearance on the skin. You only need a drop of it on well-moisturized skin. I absolutely love NYX.
The worst foundation I've ever had! I have oily and somewhat problematic skin. Maybe in winter, it could be somehow adjusted, but in summer, it doesn't stay on the skin at all, even if you set it with powder. It is quite pigmented and buildable, but then it settles into pores and accentuates everything from flakiness to the tiniest wrinkles. Even after powdering and using mattifying wipes, it transfers onto everything from your phone to people you hug. The shade doesn't oxidize, but after an hour or two, the skin "eats" it up. Before using, you should shake it because the product separates into an emulsion, but that won't save you from the scent of burning tires, which only God knows why it smells like that. In conclusion, I can say that if you have dry or normal skin without imperfections, and you don't mind using a full coverage foundation heavily set with powder, and you enjoy the smell of burning rubber, then this product is perfect for you.
Excellent for oily skin, the color caramel is very dark...
My review is positive. This is definitely not a full coverage foundation. It is very watery drops with a water-based formula. It is better suited for combination or even oily skin because the finish is matte and drying. I do not recommend using it without a primer, as there is a possibility that it will settle into pores if applied with fingers instead of a brush or sponge. With a primer, there are no issues. I want to reiterate that this cannot be called a foundation. All these drops do is even out the skin tone and freshen it up. They are not visible on the face, which is very important for the summer season. Even freckles are visible underneath, meaning the coverage will be very light.
I rarely apply makeup, so after some time, I was horrified when I took out the product from my cosmetics bag and noticed separation. I thought it had gone bad, so I immediately searched on Google and read reviews. I saw comments saying that it's because the foundation is water-based and it's normal, I just need to shake it. Well, okay. Then I opened it and couldn't understand why it smelled like wall paint. Maybe I got a faulty batch, I don't know. But overall, I don't plan on using it. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
Great base, it suited me perfectly and doesn't dry out my skin while also providing a smooth finish. My skin feels velvety (I have combination skin). This is a real find for me, I bought it at the professional store "NYX" and it is very economical to use. I will definitely come back to my favorite store "MakeUp" for more.
Excellent base, my favorite one. If I'm not mistaken, it is water-based. It needs to be shaken well before use so that the components mix together. Afterwards, I apply it with a damp sponge. It feels weightless on the skin and stays well. It can be drying, so it is important to moisturize the skin well before applying.
This is a terrible foundation, no matter how you apply it, it looks awful on your face.
As a standalone product, it is not suitable as it has all the stated drawbacks. HOWEVER... I do not have perfect facial skin and have a lot of experience using different foundations, THEREFORE... when I mix it with others, I get an interesting result where TotalControl acts as a foundation with excellent coverage + velvety finish + beautiful natural shade. I really like it when combined with Collistar Fototinda or HolikaHolika BB cream. In general, there can be a huge number of variations if you consider it as a carrier of color, density, and velvety finish. And don't forget about the proper skincare step before applying foundation. Don't be disappointed if it let you down - experiment. Personally, I love it. Moreover, the consumption has significantly decreased due to this usage. Good luck with your experiments! ;)
The foundation emphasizes flakes and dries out the skin (I have combination skin, pre-moisturized and applied NYX Marshmallow primer). My skin looked much better before applying it. You need to be careful with the dropper when applying because the cream drips very quickly and can stain clothes. Also, after standing for 1 day after purchase, a transparent liquid formed on the surface, which looks very strange. I have never seen foundation products like this before. The expiration date on the packaging is until 02.2023, so maybe it was stored incorrectly? It says to store at a temperature of +6 - +25, and it's currently winter here. Sometimes, after delivery, the product arrives frozen after unpacking.
Perhaps this cream would be suitable for oily skin. I regret buying it.
This foundation has a nice texture and applies smoothly, creating a thin yet full coverage. It effectively conceals pigmentation without giving a "mask" effect on the face. The light shades are perfect for very fair skin with cool undertones, and they do not turn yellow or oxidize. However, it is not suitable for dry skin; it works best for oily/combination skin types. When used with a moisturizer and primer, the result is simply excellent.
The tone is even, I like it, but a huge downside is that it becomes dry even on super moisturized skin.
