Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% Serum - The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%
This serum is quite aggressive. It has an oily base. When applied, it raises the temperature of the skin, causing little droplets of sweat and a flushed appearance. It did not dry out my combination skin. I apply it in a small amount once or twice a week in the evening, as a sort of shock therapy to stimulate blood circulation in the facial skin.
I also added vitamin C in powder form. I tried it during the cold season, and it leaves greasy droplets on my face. I stopped using it. Then, in the summer, I decided to try it again, but I got the same result. I had to remove it with a tissue.
I have been using a serum with resveratrol and ferulic acid, and I add vitamin C powder to it. I can't say if this product fulfills all its promises. I use it before bed and seal it with a regular moisturizer from The Ordinary (in the morning, I use niacinamide and seal it with an SPF cream, also from The Ordinary). The consistency of the serum is oily, and the vitamin C dissolves quickly with it. Personally, I have no problems or inconveniences when mixing it on a clean palm. It absorbs quickly into the skin. It seems like my skin should be oily in the morning, but it becomes matte, radiant, and even-toned. I have been testing it for more than three months.
I also noticed a great benefit for those who occasionally have breakouts or before their menstrual cycle. With the serum and vitamin C, they disappear without having time to mature and without leaving red marks, unlike salicylic acid.
The need for foundation or powder has disappeared, and regular sunscreen is enough after basic skincare.
I will definitely continue using it.
It didn't work for me. I gave it many chances.
During the first month of use, it was fine. It was oily, with a slightly specific smell, and a bit tingly at first, but then SPF and makeup applied beautifully on it. The skin was moisturized and seemed to glow. However, starting from the second month, red patches started appearing on my cheeks, not immediately, but after about an hour of application. I have mature combination skin (43 years old). I took antihistamines, tried different toners (both with actives and neutral), but no, this product is not for me. I don't really feel like going to work with a red face.
I read on the internet that ferulic acid may cause a similar reaction, but I couldn't find any information on whether this is normal or not.
The serum is quite aggressive, and it doesn't react well to rosacea, so I use it on my forehead, under my eyes, neck, and décolleté. It is quite economical to use, has an oily texture, sometimes absorbs quickly, but other times leaves a greasy shine. I haven't noticed any positive results from using it, but I hope it has an antioxidant effect.
I have been buying this product for the third time now. The effect is amazing: my skin looks radiant, illuminated, and delicate in the morning, and any breakouts disappear faster. It also works well under makeup.
This is my first time ordering a face serum, and I didn't like it at all. I don't see any benefits for myself, and half of the jar just sits there.
I think this is probably the first time my skin has ever felt so dry... I am very disappointed and upset.
After testing it for 2.5 months, it's about time to leave a review, although I could have done it earlier! My face has never suffered so harshly. The formula clearly doesn't suit me, it feels like acids are burning my face. I'm 30 years old with combination skin, and I became sensitive to new products a year ago. I usually get pimples and redness, but they quickly go away and I continue using the products without any issues. But not this time! I wanted to try a professional product with a more serious composition for my age. I applied the serum at night and sealed it with a little cream, and in the morning, I was shocked! My skin was dry and flaky everywhere. For three weeks, I moisturized it with cream three times a day, but it didn't help. In short, I tried different ways with this serum - sometimes it was okay and my complexion looked better, my pimples dried out, and the inflammation decreased little by little. It was fine for a couple of days, but then the condition worsened again. Now I have red, dry patches below my eye bags... That's it, it's time to stop using it frequently. It's sad because I had high hopes, but unfortunately, it was in vain, although I had already read negative reviews here.
The basic skincare product works well, but it won't help with problematic skin. I believe that the price is too high.
The product did not cause any allergies or side effects, as mentioned in the reviews. It slightly moisturized and evened out the skin tone, so I recommend it! And ladies, remember that no serum or cream can do anything about your wrinkles - it's not plastic surgery or botox therapy ;) It's not even possible from an anatomical standpoint. Therefore, this product, in my opinion, performed well with all its possible functions.
Well, it seems like it shouldn't burn like crazy, but I'm quite sensitive, so I didn't throw it away and just applied some cream after 15 minutes, and everything was fine. I like the result. My complexion became fresh, more even, and tightened, as if.
I have been using this serum for a week now. The consistency is oily, almost like glycerin, and it has a barely noticeable specific scent.
This serum may not be suitable for everyone since it consists only of acids. However, it is worth considering for people with acne and the first signs of aging skin.
It did not cause any allergies and absorbs well into my combination skin. It is too early to speak about results after just a week, but after using it overnight, my skin feels smooth and tightened in the morning.
I tried mixing it with vitamin C, but it seemed strange because vitamin C does not dissolve completely in this "oily" texture.
I really liked the texture and how quickly it is absorbed when I first tried it. However, after 10 minutes, my skin became covered in red patches. I tried applying it without using any other skincare products (thinking maybe it shouldn't be combined with anything else), but I still ended up with blotches all over. Even though I am not allergic to anything and this has never happened to me before, it feels like a waste of money.
Yesterday, I received the serum and tried it in the evening after washing my face. Now, this morning, I woke up and I don't know what to do... I am completely swollen, with bags under my eyes, and my skin feels rough and terribly itchy. This is the first time something like this has happened to me, it's horrifying.
The skin tone and texture will improve, but it noticeably clogs pores. Dark spots appear directly, so I switched to using it a couple of times a week, which is fine, but the effect is not the same, of course. I mix it with vitamin C powder.
For owners of dry and very dry skin. I am 37 years old and have always had dry skin, but it has become even drier with age. At first, I ordered this company's cream and oil to regulate oiliness since my skin quickly absorbed all creams and I had to moisturize it a couple of times in the morning to saturate it. However, with the addition of the oil, I only need to do it once. Then I tried the serum with 3% retinol and 3% ferulic acid. My first impression was that it dissolved the oil in my pores. One morning, I was shocked to see empty craters on my face and didn't know what to do with them. But I remembered that skin regeneration takes a month. As for irritation, my skin turned red and suffered, so I only used it in the evening. Five minutes after applying the serum, I applied the cream with oil in a 1:1 ratio. In the morning, I washed off the serum and applied the cream. Don't forget that this is professional cosmetics and its strength is stronger. Then I ordered the almond peeling, which amazed my skin. It was covered in burgundy spots and tingled. I applied it overnight without cream or oil, and in the morning, I washed it off and applied the cream. A month has passed. My pores are clean and closed, wrinkles seem to be reversed, there are no more fine lines, my skin is even and smooth to the point of shining. The bumps under the corners of my lips are gone and everything is smooth. If I had written my review after the first or even the fifth use, I would have said that this cosmetics is just some rubbish that irritates my skin. But now I can say that I have become 10 years younger and have perfect skin, although sometimes a pimple may appear, but I don't think it's because of the cosmetics. There is very little information on MakeUp, so I had to search the internet. Also, this serum and peeling worked for my 12-year-old daughter. Her forehead was covered in small red pimples, but after 5 uses, there is no more redness, although there are still a few white pimples here and there. I think they will be gone in a week. She has oily skin and has never experienced redness. I 100% recommend this cosmetics.
I bought the vitamin C powder from the same brand (to mix together). I apply it after washing my face at night, followed by a squalane cream. It stings a little upon application, but it's bearable. Although the serum is oily, it absorbs quickly (I have combination skin). After a few days of use, my skin tone and texture have improved, my pores have become smaller, and the healing of individual pimples on my face has sped up. I can't say that everything has become perfect, but the effect is very noticeable after just a few days.
I use it at night because it absorbs well. The serum reduces inflammation, tightens the skin effectively, and lightens pigmentation spots and post-acne marks.
I purchased this serum after seeing it on TikTok. Now it has become my favorite serum. My skin has become more moisturized and nourished.
