Brightening Serum The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

I didn't get anything from this serum except for a few breakouts. It's completely ineffective and a waste of money. I wasn't expecting it to lighten pigmentation, but it also doesn't even out the skin tone as claimed. There's no effect at all. You can just skip using it altogether, and that's what I'll do.

The serum is oily, so you should apply it sparingly and a few hours before going to bed, otherwise it will all end up on your pillow. It didn't produce any "wow" effect (I have a lot of freckles). The texture is not the most pleasant (although I have normal skin), so I won't be using it again.

I have been using this serum for 6 months. I apply it on clean skin. Yes, the serum is sticky, but I gently pat it in with my fingers instead of smearing it. After applying, I use a night cream. The results are noticeable. It really lightens pigmentation. During the day, I always apply a cream with SPF.

However, it works well for elbows and knees, even though it doesn't fully absorb, but it's not as important in those areas, and there was a noticeable lightening effect.
