The taste is pleasant, most importantly - it doesn't burn, it has a slight minty sensation. I had some burns on my mucous membrane - it helped. I liked the ointment.
The taste is overly sweet and unpleasant (although this is quite subjective). However, I was truly disappointed in its effectiveness. It didn't help with either stomatitis or inflamed gums. And after treating a tooth, the injured gums healed with this gel just the same as without it.
